You know what, I actually somewhat agree with Randy in this instance, with the curation part at least. Curation can be important for store fronts, and I think Steam would benefit from it. That being said, that's where the agreement stops. I'm all for having all games being added to a storefront, however, curation should come in and elevate products that 1) have unique assets, not ones bought or pirated from some Unity Store (an exception to this would be if the assets work together and have a theme), 2) Show work has been put into the product. There are too many fucking games on Steam that are just game tutorials being flipped and being sold as a complete game. There are a myriad of block based zombie games all stemming from a single unity tutorial.
Now, these dogshit games can exist on the Steam platform, but in my ideal system these games wouldn't show up in discovery queues and wouldn't shit up the "New Releases" list.
