Why did the futuristic racing genre died?

Why did the futuristic racing genre died?

Studio Liverpool was murdered, and now wipEout only exists as ports of ports of ports.

Modern ADHD nigger audience needs "relatable" characters and cheesy avengers tier stories to enjoy games.

I'm sure Wipeout will get another game.

Ballisticng is fairly recent though and really damn good

You better play picture related you fucking faggots.

>He thinks Firesprite isn't making WipEOut 4 as we speak

Been playing the PS4 Wipeout collection recently and having fun with it but I prefer ballistic ng.

This, why the fuck did Sony kill them when they obviously want to release more wipeout games?

Is Formula Fusion good? I hate how SL’s former staff is scattered all over the place now.

>Sony closes Liverpool studio
>Old staff from Liverpool studio goes and create Firesprite, an independent studio
>Even then, they are still working for Sony, and all of their games are Playstation exclusives
lol, what a bunch of cucks

redout came out. we got other ones coming

sony only makes cinematic games now

Because they still have control over assets, talent, and tech. A studio is just a place of work.

Did they sell? Cause it doesn’t matter how good the games are if know one is buying

It was never a popular genre.

Distance, BallisticNG, Redout, Fast RMX, Grip, Wipeout Omega and Formula Fusion/Pacer are all somewhat recent games and a lot of them are still seeing active support.

been with it since before it was put on early access, best fucking fan tribute you could possibly find

It's no longer called that.

I really cant handle Omega Collections shit soundtrack.

It's pretty barebones, hence why they aggregated like a year or two worth of patches and rerelease/rebrand it as "Pacer" now.
A lot of people also hate the handling, although they supposedly reworked that as well.
Personally I thought the game was ok.

Why? They changed the original WipeOut HD soundtracks?
