Great game but it’s still a product of its time and a little ahead of its time. The fact it’s sort of open world is amazing to me

quinoe

Absolute trash whose only merit is establishing a setting for SH2

A masterpiece

Yeah, I was really astounded by how huge the game felt. Even without the Otherworld aspect the town feels so large for a game its age, or hell, even in comparison to games that came a gen later.

Havent found a better psychological horror game to top this one yet. Its the best of its kind. SH2 was good horror game not for this scares and atmosphere, but for its very well written horror story

The only good sewer level ever. Short, sweet, scary.

We thought it was amazing obviously.

Why didn't you save her, Yea Forums?

she wasn't the real thing

You ever listen to the Clock Tower OSTs? Super underrated.

One of my favourite games of all times.

spooky, not scary

Were You born past 2000?

I've been bored and uploading a bunch of survival horror/horror OSTs lately if anyone's interested. Let me know if you have any requests.

'94. I just spent the last 10 years playing almost nothing but fighting games and have only just gotten around to classic survival horror. It's pretty cool, feels like opening a time capsule of amazing vidya. Hacked my Vita and I've been working through them in the dark, it's been super cozy.

Don’t forget Dino crisis, resident evil series, clock tower, nightmare creatures

Ive always say it
Sh has the Best dark ambient music, together with those camera movements, make it the scariest game out there

Yeah, I've got Dino Crisis cued up. Finished RE2 (Leon A/Claire B) a few days ago, Parasite Eve and RE1 before that. Looking forward to Parasite Eve 2 a lot, apparently it leans more into survival horror than the first one did, and a guy on Yea Forums told me some cool stuff about it the other day.

Goddamn I forgot parasite eve. Been years since I’ve jumped on it

I really enjoyed it. Made a handgun that fired shotgun shells with splash damage, was pretty cool. Had a laugh when the last boss kicked my ass for a while, haven't had that happen in ages.

sounds like a rip off of sh osts
theres a bunch of rip offs on bandcamp

sh1 ost is different from sh2-4 and the origins tho. the first one is more of pure industrial/noise music.

I feel silly doing this but years ago I used to make ambient noise stuff for fun. You might get a kick out of it.

>Shitting on asbestoscape

Yamaoka didn't invent industrial tracks, these guys are good.

i also make music. your track is probably good for vidyas like some atmospheric indie but survival horror game.

well, shimmer reverb sound is everywhere nowadays. i prefer yamaoka. he didnt rely on reverb. he used old synthes like prophet 5 and his manipulation of synthesizers and sampling sounds was simply superb.
