My favourite is honestly IV + expansions. I get people arguing the game is held back by realism and shit but i honestly never really got into the series as a wacky "fuck shit up" simulator (although obviously IV can fit into that as well despite everything). When i was younger and everyone played the older games almost exclusively for the sandbox elements i never really got the appeal
