Nope. Too busy with other shit. I'm mapping out the components that I need for the interface though.

I'm a lazy fuck and haven't made much significant progress since last timr. At the very least I'm done with the base gameplay so I can play around with it and tweak it. Just need to finalise how characters play and then I can start on art assets.

Is going with a custom engine made in a low level framework only way to go if you want to make a large scale sandbox thing, like terraria or factorio?

VR game.
Waifu simulator
You get to hold, undress, feel up, and sex up your waifu.
The twist is that you have ungodly super human strength and if you aren’t careful the game gets very gory (ie you fondle her tits to rough and you end up popping them like balloons.

I’m fucking pissed. My hard drive fucked itself and slipped into a permanent “read only” mode for some reason. I was able to save all my art assets but the Unreal Project File couldn’t be ported off because in order to open, UE4 writes data for the time opened, which isn’t possible here so it just crashes UE4.
Tldr I have to restart all my programming (which wasn’t much admittedly but I was making a lot of progress on a dialogue system from scratch, now I might as well use a plugin) and before people tell me some “fuck epic games” shit, I started this project august last year before EGS bullshit was even a thing. And I really don’t want to switch to Unity.
Game is a fangame of sorts, think if the aftermath of smash ultimate’s “World Of Light” was a world where all these media characters have to live with each other. It’s an adventure game with a lot of parody. Pic related is the main character.

See I’m a massive faggot who never learned it, I’m using blueprints, they haven’t let me down yet but I know I’m definitely not as good as people who know it. My talents are more geared for sprite art and writing but I know Java and Python, which is at least some principle knowledge of how programming “works”

As a writer who has gone through block a fuck ton, the number one way to drum up ideas is to experience something new. It sounds cliché but it works. And I mean something new and outside of your comfort zone, it can be literally anything from checking out a new book just from its cover or joining a fucking terrorist org. Inspiration has to come from somewhere.

small characters make sense because it makes the hit box easier to read, but was messing with something more lanky like megaman legends recently just to see if that would be preferred and try something out of the norm maybe.

I'm working on a turn based RPG. I found some pixel assets that I'll use and when I feel confident and far enough in the project I'll try to find someone that's willing to mimic the pixel style to make art and sprites. I need music too.

The thing you call a game is actually an infinite loop that runs many times a second, each time updating all the objects in your game, checking your input, and doing other things.

I couldn't do it. I'm in university now and have developed either crippling anxiety or schizophrenia or something and when i have an episode even my friends suddenly think im weird and seem scared though nothing i did is threatening and ive never hurt anyone. means i can function normally but can never work probably.

You can copy/paste blueprints you know. Start a new project and just paste everything in the content folder into it then restart the editor.
