it's technically impossible to stop cheating 100%. you can run whatever code you want on your computer. servers have to provide you with enough information about enemies etc even if you're just supposed to hear their footsteps you'll be able to reveal their location visually on your client. servers need to tolerate and compensate for a certain amount of lag.
