There's always smt nocturne, which is kind of like persona 3.
I would also recommend dragon quest v. It starts off lighthearted, but has many depressioncore moments throughout.

Not a jrpg, but Cat Lady is a good depresso game. It may look and play like a 2007 newgrounds game, but it has some decent writting and tackles depression and suicide well.

Phantasy Star 1 was pretty comfy. I enjoyed mindlessly grinding to podcasts for a while. FFIX is great too but requires more focus.

When I was at my worst, I couldn't pay attention to anything for too long without getting shitty bursts of anxiety. Lumines helped a lot. I'd stick on headphones, turn up the volume and play for hours. The music is relaxing, it's easy to get stuck in the zen puzzle state, and I'd lose track of time. It'd work with most puzzle and rhythm games I guess, as long as they keep going until you lose. "Battle" puzzle games are too stop-and-start and it's too easy to turn it off after a couple of games.
