I agree that combat can sometimes be boring if you and the guy your fighting basically don’t really do anything other than ripostes, but I still enjoy it much more than Chivalry.

Is Mordhau really easier to get into?
In Chivalry I got my asshole thoroughly ravaged but then again I got into the game pretty late when everyone still playing knew the game inside and out.

Chivalry has a very shitty implementation of melee combat filled with fucky "strats" that remind me of shit like the glitches in GunZ but without being fun

What's the best build to get kills in Frontlines mode? I feel like Im playing this game wrong. Guys will parry me with some kind of sword, idk if its zwei or longsword, and then before i can even do anything Im fucking dead because they swing their sword 2000x faster than any fucking weapon I could ever hope to have

It's pretty easy to host a server and play the game on the same machine. I hosted for a few friends and we had some fun. A few random people joined as well for a few hours. I've also heard the devs will release some editor tools down the line so I think the game has more staying power than something like Quake Champions.

It gets old really fucking quick because of how few maps there are.
Frontline, the primary mode, has 4 unbalanced maps. It's rare to have a game where teams are similarly balanced, and horseniggers truly ruin it just as much as archers. They're too tiny to have horses... but do.
It also has other modes, Skirmish is legitimately fun and extremely fun to play but can be annoying if there's niggers on the enemy team
duel servers are where it's at atm but really just wait for a sale or for shitters to leave, the appeal to casualfags is waning and in a few months the game will be much better because there'll be less stab-spammers and rapierfags

I'm lvl 6, don't have a load out, I just picked infantryman or what ever the premade class w the spear and consistently got top 5, it's rly cheesy, just get a spear and maybe bloodlust then that fire immune perk, those seem good

I use a falchion, light armour, and Rush. I'm a glass cannon but if I can kill at least one guy in a group, I instantly accelerate to my sprinting speed (which is really fast because light armour) and basically I just zip through the crowd slashing at necks and ankles.
that's for fun though. if you want to be an efficient little faggot just pick shield+bastard sword and never risk your ass

also it sounds like your opponents are accelerating their swings. if you turn so your sword arm is on the same side as your enemy, it will hit them much sooner. one of my favourite tactics is to slash at someone to my side as I'm running past without actually turning towards them.

Also headshotting footsoldiers with the throwing axes is much easier than it would seem so go nuts with them

Those 3 deaths were the times I managed to billhook him by crouching or juking out of the way. Even then I was still outreached and killed about twice that amount.

If you want to just avoid dying them, literally ANY loadout can do this by walking on terrain horses can't reach and using cover they'll run into if they try to hit you.
If they're couched, you just walk to the other side of the horse from where their lance is.
If you want to be able to kill them while still having tools to deal with other people, run throwing axes (incredibly easy to hit on horses and do enough damage to chip them down in about 4 hits).
If you want to rape them specifically, toolbox+billhook.
