Any vidya about being a cool robot? Maybe where as you go along in the game you get cool upgrades, chasis upgrades, and other cool shit? I want to be a high power walking tank in one encounter and then swap out my parts to be a ghost.

Warframe, if you pretend that warframes are robots.

Those look too humanoid, you gotta be distinctly a robot.

SOMA, kinda

Knack.

You can't do anything that OP described in Soma.

Kenshi?

The one I'll make in a decade or two

Armored Core series

Perpetuum

Super Robot Wars series if you like strategy.

Armored Core series if you want hardcore mecha.

Phantasy Star Online (as a cast) if you want a bullshit grindy mmo

Steamworld series if you want steampunk

I dunno man, there are a lot of robots and mecha in vidya. Maybe you'd like Deus Ex, if cyborg or transumanism is your thing.

Cyborg Justice on Sega Genesis. You can rip the limbs off other robots and put them on yourself.

Thanks for the reccs.
Nah I'm looking for something where you are a robot from the start. You're cold and calculated. Every move you have is fast, deliberate, and precise. Just dab on the fleshies

>almost every single game you play as a human
Why are current and past devs so unimaginative?

Hardcoded

RF Online

Fuck off tranny

nope

someone already suggested warframe & got shot down, but afaik that's the closest you can get to fully swapping out everything to completely change your playstyle at will

i'd suggest titanfall 2 just because whenever you're in BT you really feel like a badass stompy mech & can change your weapon loadouts at will but something tells me that your picky ass would say no to that as well

I already played titanfall. What crawled up your ass?

If you think about its the perfect explanation for exp and leveling up. You just unlock new programs.

U R THEE RO-BOT

Xenoblade Chronicles X

If you're down to play a roguelike, Cogmind is basically exactly what you described. It's a surprisingly good, flashy game for the genre, too. But, it's expensive. I don't know if the community is big enough for there to be an up to date torrent, either, but I'd suggest looking for one. It's a good game.

Cogmind is expensive?
I remember picking it up for like $9 or so
It's super fun, more faithful roguelikes are pretty fucking great with how much you can do
Surprised the devs havent dropped it, that's what they tend to do nowadays.

Knack 2

On a more serious note, you might try the newer Deus Ex games.

tbhi had wanted to recommend nier:automata because it fulfills a variety of things you were looking for (depending on how you look at them) but the characters are also human in appearance there as well & i felt like that would also get shot down so i got pre-emptively salty

but in my defense, anyone who'd ever unironically type the last 4 words of is worthy of ire

oh, check out Strike Suit Zero/Infinity & the Zone of the Enders games tho, idk how well they fit your exact tastes but they kick ass regardless

Nier Automata. You get the best of both worlds. Be a robot and have a butt.

Titanfall 1/2. Maybe Call of Duty BO3.

Synthetik is a pretty decent "roguelite" with this premise

It's 20 bucks on steam right now. Personally, I'd call that expensive for a roguelike. Personally, I'd also say it's worth it. The game is a gem.

Tbh you're the only one I've spoken to that's played it
My only complaint is that when filtering enemies through a 1x1 doorway, enemies will run to a hidden door.
I guess it thematically makes sense because they would have a map of the floor, but it always feels kinda cheap when they just split like that and enter the room from a hidden door.
But other than that ive got nothing but praises for the game

Play Damascus gear

Sega genesis had a platforming game and fighting game similar to that.
