Corruption
Some classes are better than others making it unbalanced and makes latter boss fights less fun if you are going pure in one class
Its not out for the fucking Switch yet.
Content feels like one big hallway that gets more and more narrow as you play.
Sure you can specialize in melee, ranged, yoyo's, whatever... but every playthrough goes exactly the same
I’m not saying this unironically, it’s really a game made for mouse and keyboard
The later bosses require a really rigid and unnatural playstyle to beat because they were most likely intended to be fought by multiple people
but the game is nearly perfect, it's what video games should aspire to be
Modding scene is pretty bad and building in the game honestly sucks though boreal is best wood.
Bad pixel art.
The very idea of "classes" on a game like this is retarded to begin with
all the bosses are totally beatable solo, you just have to get creative a little bit, like making an arena
some of the 1% drops are bullshit
I don't want to play the PC version. I want to play local co-op with my friend while sitting on my lounge. I have the PS4 version but its last version ends at Golem.
I didn't say they were unbeatable, I said they require a rigid and unnatural playstyle, i.e. creating an "arena" (just a really long wooden playform, or a few levels of wooden platforms) and then just running back and forth while zapping them with whatever your best ranged weapon is
E3 confirmed. The devs already want it on the switch, they just need nintendo to give it the all clear. Hence E3 most likely.

This, The early game is slow as shit but you have alot of flexibility, but once you enter hardmode your path is extremely linear and it just boils down to "mine this ore so you can craft the tools to mine the next ore". Same with what weapons to use or armor to use. It's still an 8/10 experience though.
Progression gets fucking insanely janky at late-hardmode, which makes getting to the four pillars a decent chore for solo players.
Terraria is the quintessential wikigame, there's so much hidden shit to progress through after you kill Golem it's impossible to assume anyone would figure all that shit by themselves.
Mods getting outdated every update.
holy shit why not just fucking release a sequel
Wildly unbalanced biome content.
The Apache is underpowered
There's a splitscreen mod that allows for local MP.
Excellent.
hunger
If you're lost you can always talk to the guide.
uh because its just like minecraft. It doesn't need one. The devs will constantly keep updating and adding things to the game.
Its 2D.
This. And 2 years without update, fantastic game otherwise.
Not as bad as the tank. That thing needs a buff badly.
no creation mode
I'm too shit at expert mode because it's kicking my fucking ass. I never feel like my gear is good enough. Just beat Plantera and thought that I'd feel better for it, but no just realizing that I need to go Golem soon makes my stomach fucking turn. I feel like I need to push defense as hard as possible or else I'll be evaporated in two seconds, so I'm wary of abandoning my turtle armour but I really know that I need new shit to boost my damage. I'm ranting now.
There are no real flaws honestly. This shit is 100x better than Minecraft, too.
Except the game is a mess and adding more stuff won't fix anything. Look at how the sound design is so shitty, with every boss, even a giant bee, using the same "roar" sound, or how players when getting hit let out an inhumane groan.
Look at how 95% of players use the same square houses for all NPCs because, despite having a fuckton of building items in the game, the building tools are awful.
Look at how things like herb farming are so unintuitive and annoying to create that most people don't bother.
The overall structure of the progression is fully fucked up, too, you can skip most of it because of the power creep from the updates, hard mode is just you exploring the world again because it was never a planned thing for the game. The list goes on.
