I enjoyed it a lot for what it was and loved the way you could customize the MC's appearance with accessories.

It can get repetitive, but if you can get past that, it's a decent hack and slash game. There's no other swordsmen in the game; you only fight people with guns.

Sword of the stranger by far. I love samurai champloo but sword of the stranger has the best sword fights ever animated, especially the finale.

There's a really violent samurai manga that's pretty good and got an anime adaption. I can't remember the name but it featured a one armed samurai with a grudge towards a blind samurai pretty boy. It was pretty grotesque but satisfying samurai shit.
