God I love portables

what's a good price to buy a vita at?

Ever Oasis

$100

I'm looking to buy a 3ds so I can play Rune Factory. I recall that the early RF games were all on the regular DS, is the 3ds backwards compatible for ds games or do I need to buy a DS as well? Also, if it is backwards compatibile, it is the kind where I can just pop in the early RF games straight into the 3DS or do I need to do some special stuff before hand? Lastly, what's a decent price to buy a 3ds or 3ds XL if I can find them?

>inb4 emulate
I tried that before and I just can't get over the button layout, its so janky on kbm.

>what you playing today
Working on assignment shit so I'm afking DEF training at NMZ in osrs.

Attached: 1558346526593.jpg (480x480, 33K)

I was playing PQ2 for a few hours earlier. Really enjoyable game.

Going through Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth on my Vita. Haven't touched my Switch in a few months - actually have played my 3DS more this year, probably, with the Great Ace Attorney fanTL.

$0
Dont waste your money, wait for emulation

The switch will become the go to by beginning of next year. Just hacked it today and played Okkami for the first time. Dunno how I missed it before

Oh yeah, I do have Okami HD - I imported the physical. I should play that sometime.

>those bubbles on the Vita

Attached: 1557945780025.jpg (631x719, 159K)

here's the thing
emulation ain't C O M F Y

The gameboy micro is so fucking sexy. I want one so bad.

3DS is backward compatible with DS. I recommend getting a New 2DS XL and Rune Factory 4.

Attached: Xao_Pai.png (387x609, 245K)

double dipped and played through Metal Slug 3 again on Switch. Never not incredible

RF4 is on switch as well, which is where RF5 + later games will be as well if you wanna play any later games in the series. otherwise, id recommend a new 2DS XL since theyre really cheap and look way better than the normal 2DS. as for the 3DS, prices are typically anywhere from $150 - $200 for a new one and $100 - $150 used.

>have a ton of 3DS games
>just recently realized how EASY hacking and pirating games was
Fuckin hell lads I feel like a complete retard. Luckily Nintendo games don't really lose value so I can resell them at minimal loss.

Attached: 1555693778133.jpg (298x314, 41K)

Get a New 3DS - not an XL. Screen looks like shit on the XL models.

I feel like a chump, because I hack my systems to actually make backups of my games.

I have a JP 3DS so I actually just bought DGS digitally when I wanted to play the fanTL. Sure I've got a 256GB card in my hacked Vita, but it's literally filled with backups of my physical copies of games, and my digital games.

Got one for $90

>2DS
Hey are you just tro-
>XL
Well this is a pleasant surprise. I never knew about the XL version of the 2Ds and how it actually looks like a DS again; folding in half and everything. I presume the 2Ds would also be backwards compatible with DS games, but is there any discernible difference between the 3Ds/3Ds XL and the 2Ds XL? Not trying to throw shade or anything, I appreciate your advice.

I knew about RF5, but I never knew that RF4 would also be on the switch. This would mean I could play RF on a TV screen right? I've never used a switch before and I've been looking for a reason to buy one, I suppose this could be it.

>another 2DS rec
That's pretty convincing. Like with the other user, is there any particular reason why?

Thanks for the heads up user. Does the screen looking like shit apply to the 2Ds XL as well? Or is this just a 3DS XL issue?

>Have a PC, Switch, 3DS, PS4, and Vita
>Literally only buy games on the PS4
>Pirate everything else
>Haven't touched the PS4 in months
h-haha

In my opinion, it applies to all XL models. You may want to swing by a local electronics store and see what an XL looks like in person. The resolution is exactly the same on a regular 3DS and an XL, so a bigger screen just takes that same image and stretches it. It makes the subpar 240p resolution even more obvious, doubly so when you're playing non-3DS titles (i.e. a DS game, virtual console titles, etc.)

I have a backlog of games I'm trying but none of them are really sticking with me. I finished the first Spyro remaster and really enjoyed that but figured I'd save the others for later and try something else.
Pillars of Eternity didn't click.
I've tried Dragon's Dogma on like 3 separate occasions and it hasn't really clicked.
Sleeping Dogs is a decent game but at the same time it's just the same old boring, do this mission, then do this side mission for some random faggot sitting on the street that you have no reason to care about.
Guess I'll just play the other Spyro games. At least those are fun.

Reminder
New 2DS XL screen is trash
Buy the new 3DS XL

drinken whiskey and getting ready to play Q2 early bros

N3DS best 3DS model.

Give me faceplates or give me death.

>tfw used to have an OG phat DS but it got lost while i was moving into a new house like 8 years ago
it had a dead pixel in the top right corner but i still miss it a lot nonetheless

>The resolution is exactly the same on a regular 3DS and an XL, so a bigger screen just takes that same image and stretches it.
I really didn't know what I expected, kek. Thanks for the advice once again. I'll be sure to check out an electronics store and see the screens in person.

why did I sold my Vita and Vita TV.......

Attached: 1538595656157.jpg (1280x720, 77K)

They look the same whilst playing games unless you contort your face/ds is a weird ass manner.

n2dsxl is nice and light which is MUCH more comfy for long play sessions. n3dsxl is heavy as fuck in comparison.

I own both. Get n2dsxl. The 3D is trash anyways and you'll never use it.

I'm pretty sure it's the same panels

DS screen is top tier

No

>sold vita tv
for how much user?

I love the concept of faceplates, but in the end I bought the fuzzy set and never changed them after.

I'll also agree with this. I never play my DS games on my 3DS - they look too fucking good on my DS Lite.

Attached: 1527705566087.jpg (4032x3024, 1.33M)

What's the point of the XL revisions when the point of a handheld is that you can put it in your pocket and take it anywhere on the go?

I just got a gba micro in a lot of games I'm pretty excited for it. are there any recommended things I do with it? I bought a ez flash omega and a new faceplate for it. There's a bit of a mark in the middle of the screen that I think is the screen and not the case.

Digimon world Next order english patched on vita

I would kill for a port in switch.

The xl model easily fits in your pockets. Well, 2dsxl anyways. The 3dsxl is a bit chunkier.

>It comes out in like 3 weeks
>the English cia has been out for like 2 months now
>refuse to pirate it because ATLUS
>wanna get the showtime edition but Amazon doesn't ship to my shithole country

I really don't want to Pirate it but the fucking stars align to make me do it.

Attached: 1395804058495.jpg (1280x720, 104K)

I really want to finish FE:Awakening on my 3ds but I get so intimidated every time I reach the final 5 chaps that have maps filled with strong af enemies and sudden reinforcements. Do you anons have any quick general tips and strategy to approach them? I mostly try to turtle my forces and traverse the maps slowly as a single unit hoping to survive the onslaught, but I feel like there's more dynamics to it I'm too dumb to see.

80~85 dollars, don't remember, it was some weeb on the internet that wanted to play Vita games stored on a hard drive with henkaku I think

uh, pretty sure the English cia came out like today. Regardless I have the physical pre ordered anyways

Today, mostly just Tetris 99 and Ace Combat 2 on my PSP

Just picked up a used copy of Sonic Rush today I CANNOT TELL IF I'M BAD AT VIDEO GAMES OR THESE BOSSES JUST SUCK. WHY DOES THE FIRST BOSS HAVE AN INSTAKILL MOVE.

At least the stages are sick.

Attached: 1558130224557.gif (421x498, 1.41M)

I played a little Etrian Odyssey Nexus while I wait for my switch copy of Labyrinth of Refrain. Anyone know what I’m in for with refrain? I only got it because the switch needs more DRPG’s and NIS might die soon.

TN vs IPS is a meme and comparing photos taken on a 2D screen vs one in 3D mode is an even bigger one. That photo would be near identical. The German man on reddit says this himself. The complaint boils down to pixel density being identical to screen resolution in 3D, which no one was using anyways

Man i wish the switch had games

>pretty sure the English cia came out like today.
Nope, it has been like 2 months since it leaked, I downloaded it when it came. then I deleted it.

Downloading Phantasy Star Portable 2 for PSP. I wonder why Sega went out of their way to even purchase a copy of the games for PSP or Vita, like they want you to pirate it.

It kind of sucks that there seems to be some ghosting or similar issue on DS-lite screens, but its hard to complain when its so colorful.

Persona Q2 got leaked so I'm playing that
But also playing Hylics and smt: strange journey

Attached: 1540650982292.jpg (319x374, 20K)

Buddy I can almost guarantee you that was a Japanese copy

N2DS XL is a bad nintendo product, Is awful compared to the n3dsxl

sexy 3ds. you should upgrade to a n3ds tho

The 3dsxl really is heavy as fuck.
I usually just sit at a desk or something while playing and that stops it.
Worst case I just lay it flat down and play like that for jrpgs and stuff.

2D image quality is identical between the two. If you want the best possible screen get for 2D you'd be getting the regular 2DS but no one's doing that

please spoonfeed me on where you got that.
My usual sites don't have the english version.

I don't like how the 2DSXL jiggles so much.I know it's by design, but it feels cheap

I played this game for 40 hours, it's a really chilled out. Basically you select a famous person from History like Amelia Eirheart, Nicola Tesla or Charles Darwin and you have to explore the wildnerness, fight the local flora and collect things to bring back to England.

You can encounter natives, recruit them, trade with them. Entering shrines can cause a huge hole to form in the map, an ocean to form, volcanoes to erupt etc.

There is magic in that local shamans can heal, you can traverse portals and recruit lizard men, local healers can cleanse you of things like kleptomania, claustrophobia, pyrophilia or alcoholism.

Overall it's just REALLY fucking comfy.

Yes, the regular 2DS has the best screen, but the design of that thing is fucking trash

I know the speaker placement is shit and the hinge is fucking awful, but what else is bad about it?
I still have an old 2ds for some reason, was thinking of getting a n2dsxl.

this game isn't out on any portables but the sequel coming this year is gonna be on switch so imo it counts

Attached: download (1).png (1920x1080, 651K)

How can I install PS1 games and Emulators through Vita Bubbles Manager, I can't figure this out

Attached: 1553452587740.jpg (365x500, 36K)

I love you

Booted up my Vita for the first time in two years. How do I hack this thing? What's good to do with it?

XC2. The expansion pass items make the game easier?

Overworld map, the red lines are the aggro of enemies. You can see the inventory to the bottom and the party to the right.

It's very replayable because of the RNG in map creation, party creation and battle.

Attached: the-curious-expedition-screenshot.jpg (600x337, 86K)

Nah. Any downsides it has (shitty speakers, poor speaker placement, baby stylus) aren't deal breakers for how much I spent on it. Just buy whatever works for you, I like how the 2DS XL feels in my hand better, I owned a Samus Returns N3DS XL for a while

Feel like selling that Gameboy Mirco bro?

Battling is very fun but largely RNG based. Basically as you level up you get these tokens that get rolled. You can combine these different coloured tokens to form a move. You can see in this picture that the combination of the man and the hand is kick which does three damage.

It gets interesting when you can buy guns back in England which give an attack, you can buy things like Gorrillas or find a raptor egg and hatch it - they have their own attacks. Also Shamans and other classes of people have their own moves which combine in interesting ways with other tokens. Overall I'm in love.

I can't wait to play the sequel on my switch.

the bubble manager doesn't install psp games

you need to set up adrenline first, then install the psp game in adrenaline

once you have the game working, you can create a bubble with bubble manager

This
Hell when I sold my old 2DS even at Jewstop I got 60$ back on an 80$ purchase.
That’s insane by today’s standard.

I dont know if I can agree with you on the regular 2DS having the best screen. It looks as poor as the other 3DS screens.

forgot my pic

Attached: The-Curious-Expedition-13_09_2016-20_50_13-1.png (1920x1080, 887K)

Not really no.
The 2DS XL is simply the better deal if you don’t care about 3D

if you can't afford 50 dollars more for a device that isn't shit, then I don't know what to tell you

I had to stop pirating not because any moral reason but because I found myself doing more digital hoarding than actually playing games.

Compelling arguments

why contain it

with my peepee

vita.hacks.guide/

I recommend using it to play games

Vita 2000 is good. 2DS XL is good. Model loyalists are almost ALWAYS wrong. The only real issue I have with my 2DS is the build quality felt like shit on the XL. I put a matte black case on it and it feels fine

Attached: 1556923703478.gif (256x192, 1.91M)

I'm playing Amazon's Running Diet on an NES emulator on my 2DSXL.
You?

Attached: 014789.png (256x224, 8K)

I'm so scared of breaking my 2DSXL.
I've seen multiple reports of the screen cracking just from people putting it in their pocket.
I keep mine in a backpack, but it still makes me nervous.

When I found myself pirating old Lewd mahjong games
I don’t like mahjong

I remember this game being hard as fuck when I was young and the space level being impossible.
I just beat it in a little under two hours on my vita. Feels like a hollow victory.

Attached: 46798front-66704.jpg (640x639, 103K)

Seems really unlikely, but like I said a case helped a lot with how it felt. Front side being plastic is pretty irrelevant

Nothing, I'm going to work, see you later user.

Been playing a lot of Space Hulk Tactics myself. Swapping between that and finishing Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

Are there any decent lewd games that I can play on Vita or 2DSXL?
It seems like a no brainer for nude mods to senran kagura or dead or alive, but nobody's done it for some reason.

DONKEY KONG COUNTRY RETURNS 3D
THE GAME IS QUITE ENJOYABLE BUT I BELIEVE IT WOULD BE FAR BETTER ON A MONITOR WITH A REGULAR CONTROLLER. THE 3DS IS FUCKING WITH MY HANDS.

Attached: DEEKAY.jpg (800x450, 249K)

How? I looked at the hacking guide and it looked complicated as hell and required a bunch of supplies like a flashcart and shit

vita 2000 is acceptable, n2ds isn't

>jiggles
lewd

I need this

link?

Playing Team Sonic Racing, pretty fun but not as good as transformed so far.

Not him, but I guess its changed recently. I remember when I had a 2DS, all I had to do was load some files in my SD and go to a website.

Just emulate the Wii version on Dolphin

Like other anons in this thread, PQ2
I've been eager to play it ever since it was announced, so I'm glad the english cia was finally leaked

have fun when your early gen oled screen dies out in a year or two for barely better blacks

I played over 100 hours of it on a 3ds xl.

ancient.co.jp/~game/download/GottaProtectors_AmazonsRunningDiet.zip
Have fun

>have fun when your early gen oled screen dies out in a year or two for barely better blacks
jokes on you, I already bought a orange vita 2000 as my backup

I'm playing on a 3DS XL. This game makes me want to get a controller grip.
I can probably run it but my computer is kinda shit so I expect it would have slowdowns in some areas. I've already played a bunch on here anyway so whatever. Pretty excited to play Tropical Freeze next.

>He's mad he bought an LCD Vita and doesn't have the best colours

>it looked complicated as hell and required a bunch of supplies like a flashcart and shit
You only need an SD card. That's it. It takes about an hour to do and all you do is drag and drop files. It's easy as FUCK. Seriously, I feel like a fucking retard for ever buying 3DS games.

For some reason Japanese Vitas are cheaper and have better color options

Buy a SD2Vita plus micro sd card.

Yup. Region free and identical

Yes you can.

Playing Crimson Shroud, good game.

Does switch has any good games at all at the moment? Mine has been collecting dust since torna.
And no I don't like fighting games.

>Switch Pro controller
I didn't know they had controller support. I've got an xbone controller, would that work too or does it have to be the switch one?

Should work, I've never tried though

Cool, thanks for telling me about this user, I'll give it a go.

fuck i should've picked up the pspgo earlier. I can't find anyone selling it in my area and if they are it's usually over $150

>And no I don't like fighting games
Are there actually fighting games that are Switch exclusives?

A Vita is cheaper than that and better in every way except size.
Just get that

SNK Heroines.
It's shit though

god buying psp games felt always so amazing and the discs were so cool. The switch is lacking hugley in that department with their voring sticks and worst of all EMPTY boxes. Psp times were best times

shame it ain't candy also clean your keyboard my man

Yeah both were set to max. Sadly, IA/VT actually isn't the best game to test since there's a semi-random rainbow effect that fades in and out in the background.

>that yellow filter on the LCD models
Truly disgusting. Glad I got the first model Vita. Yeah, support's basically dead, but I still have a decent library for it

The New 2DS XL is complete trash, it feels totally flimsy and cheap compared to the New 3DS and the sound quality is just abominable. Don't listen to this fuckin' incel, he's constantly recommending it to people to fuck with them.

Attached: image.jpg (568x447, 237K)

Definitely not a "yellow filter", more so the color temp on the slim is warmer than that on the OLED.

does your oled have screen rot yet?

No, but I do have burn-in on the right side. I don't think you can see it in the pic I posted, though? Well, you can - but it's subtle enough that unless you know where it is you'll probably miss it.

If you like cheap feeling devices with awful buttons then sure

You're right, but when you can't change the color temp, it basically is

screen rot fucking hurts to see man i remember playing toukiden back in the day and noticing some weird ass shit on the black loading screen and couldn't for the life of me figure out what happened

The black blotches? Bruh I've had those since launch and they don't mean or do shit.

Anywhere from $90-$110. I usually see some going for around those prices, sometimes you can find people selling their games with them for like $20 or $30 more.

i remember looking it up and i saw so many people saying it was screen rot i still hate the blotches everytime i load a game

There's tools that allow you to tweak the color temp, but fwiw the color temp difference really is less noticeable in person. For whatever reason it's just exaggerated in pics.

I assume the tools are only available if you hack it, yes?

Still has the yellowing effect, just not as bad as stock. Older games show this off more.

Attached: IMG_20180915_195637364_HDR.jpg (1836x3264, 547K)

yes, you can play it on the tv. RF4 comes out in august

Of course, but anyone that owns a Vita in current year should've hacked it, so it's a bit of a moot point.

Of course - but again, you really won't notice the difference unless you're putting them side by side. And it's not like the OLED is perfect, either - in some cases it's definitely a tad oversaturated.

Idiorts unite

earthbound on the 2ds xl or harvest moon btn on the vita

harvest moon my man get comfy

Minecraft

>all those scuffs and scratches and dirt
are you a fucking 12 years old my man

I'm eye balling a white Vita 1000 (used). Should I bother getting it if I already have slim?

XMB was the best, idk why ps4 and vita did away with it

I think they're talking about the horrible screen protector application, not the bubble interface.

i personally would yeah the slim feels better but og just looks great

Not really. Unless it's a 3G, I'd say the slim is just objectively better.

3G is worth it for PSVSD.

easier to monetize.

And then the save data corrputs when I'm halfway through Sonic's route. I think I might return this.

Attached: 1546325976644.jpg (680x343, 55K)

Yeah, the overall design and screen looks attractive.

I'll be honest I never looked into the hardware side of the Vita modding especially concerning the 3g model. Just mostly focused on the wifi variant, I'll look into it.

>Switch
Disgaea 5
>3DS
Etrian Nexus

emulation's for fags though.

This is the worst place to ask since this thread is basically a 3DS warzone. I say yes as someone whose owned all of them, but you should really just go with what's the best price and looks good. Model autism is too real here

Borrowed a PS4 for a week, so all I'm playing this week is Bloodborne

it can install games downloaded from PKGj, though. So it must go off the folder that PKGj downloads to

Attached: 1546554895011.png (1144x772, 267K)

that wasn't what i meant

none of those pieces of shit thank god

PKGj installs the games.

Are you trying to use regular PS1 ISO files? You need to convert them to eboot PBP files using PSX2PSP, and then they need to go in pspemu/psp/game/SLPSXXXXXX folder where XXXXXX is the ID of the game. good luck.

easiest way to get the ID's of the games?

There are a few sites like this
psxeboots.com/pops-compatibility-list

you know a modded 2000 can get blacks almost as good as the OLED right?

Nigga those are color temperatures. Usually on an SRGB scale better color accuracy comes with a warmer color temperature, while something like the splotchy oversaturated oleds of the 1000s models will be using a cooler one. So yes, the 2000 is better. Also taking pictures of a screen is stupid anyway, if you're using your phone whichever screen you focus on, the camera will change the white balance in accordance to that one since it's different. That's why the colors look off

Attached: IMG_20190521_220933_1.jpg (2448x3681, 2.26M)

The "black blotches" are called the Mura effect and it's a defect that happens during OLED manufacturing, it's only noticeable in very rare occasions and is completely normal, and won't degrade or get worse over time.

why the fuck do you people own more than 1 vita

advance wars 2 on my hacked vita

i dont like playing on handheld consoles. i dont understand how people can stand on playing on smaller screens not only does it make your head and eyes hurt it also deteriorates your eyesight much faster. i just emulate and play them on a higher resolution on a bugger screen. too bad switch emulator still doesnt exist

For me, I just like playing my stuff in bed. Especially with Vita since it has so many VNs and jRPGs - those long games are perfect for playing while lounging around.

Family members, modding, and dumping.

Attached: IMG_20190419_180345222.jpg (4096x2304, 316K)

>5 Vitas

...well, I'll have 3 Vitas and 2 PSTVs soon, so I guess I can't judge.

>not only does it make your head and eyes hurt it also deteriorates your eyesight much faster
Switch has a big enough screen and high enough resolution for it to not be a big issue.

Playing lengthy games on the 3ds and vita hurts my eyes, I can just imagine playing a jrpg on the gameboy micro.

Attached: niglets.jpg (199x266, 19K)

6 and 2 Vita TV's.

I swear everyone that gets bit by the Vita bug has a fuck ton of 'em.

I only have 2, and the second is because my first one is starting to give out

That's the main reason I got my slim. Well, it's not giving out - and my memory card seems to be fine - but it's still a launch unit. That, and I've used my 32GB card more than most while IT'S a launch unit. I love my Vita so much I decided that I needed a contingency plan in-case something happened.

my wifi launch unit has this obnoxious thing it decided to do where the battery meter lies to me, and then puts itself in sleep believing it is dead. upon booting it up, it shows the real charge and then about 5 mins later does the same shit. drove me nuts until i got the new one

>be me
>retard
>buy 3DS XL
>strip the screws on the back
>cant open it now
>buy new SD card with more storage
>stuck with 4gb SD card

Attached: IMG_20190521_030617.jpg (4000x3000, 3.88M)

Lmao, so after the screw first started fucking up you just kept going hoping for the best?

Silent Hill when it gets dark.

To be fair, those screws must be pretty shite - I had to send my N3DS XL in to NoA to fix the camera nub and the fucking thing came back with stripped screws on the backplate.I had to hassle ninty to send me more and then tear the old fucking one off.

Thank god I didn't have any issues with my JP N3DS, but my N3DS XL (MH4U LE) was nothing but bullshit with all the defects that NoA repairs just wouldn't fix.

What do I do anons? I love the device but the stripped screws are just annoying me

Snap the cover and order a replacement with screws? Dremel out the screw carefully and then extract it

I just unlocked Sonic and Cloud in Smash Ultimate, after having put it down for months, and I bought New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe today, so I've been playing a level here and there. I'm now thinking about wrapping up my night with FFVII or Borderlands 2.

You haven't needed a flashcard in ages. The only reason to use a flashcard at all is if you want to have your DS games on a separate menu, which some people do and use the R4.

Modded analogue sticks?

pc.

Get something sharp slender and fine to cut a groove into the screw like a straight line. Then once you have that groove deep enough use a flathead screwdriver to catch enough to get torque and turn the screw.

fucking threads here convinced me to pick up terraria again and i can't stop playing it so i haven't made any progress on my backlog for like a week
fuck you Yea Forums

How good is that game?

i just installed PQ2 and warioware gold the other day. theres no encryption

Where are you getting your games, user?

the game has a very repetitive formula, you mine stuff underground and get certain materials, craft stuff and fight bosses, each time getting access to better gear until you reach the end
of course, you do other things like building a town and your base, you can fish and there's fishing quests, and you can run around with a net like an idiot and catch animals and put then in display cases for no one else but you to see, but once i realized how formulaic the game is i dropped it. since then i spent more time shitposting on their forums than doing anything related to the game
somehow Yea Forums convinced me to pick it up again so i decided to start a modded playthrough, and the mods i got added a lot of content. i'm having fun with it so far but deep down i still feel like the game's formula will make me drop it soon enough
the gameplay is pretty good though, there's some good weapon variety (melee has swords, spears, flails and boomerangs, magic has staves and tomes and shit, ranged has guns and bows and also ranged magic weapons and probably more i forgot) and it feels great moving around when you get wings and shit (at the beginning you're kind of slow though)
if you're interested and don't think the formula will harm your enjoyment then give it a try, if you want mods go over to /tg/ and look at their recommendations
you should definitely get magic containers since it makes finding items in your storage feel less like a chore, and also mod of redemption i think since it creates a new morphing class and you can morph into shit like an anvil or a bunny

Sounds interesting. Might try it out

It's on PC.

Remember: you also have to buy the SD card

Not if you get a slim and hack it.

I bought a screen protector for my Vita but I'm afraid it will end like OP picture
Give me some tips

Psp, trying to finish crimson gem saga

try the superglue trick. Get a shitty disposable screwdriver bit and superglue it to the mangled remains of the screw (making sure not to spill any over the head or you'll buttfuck yourself) and turn

Imagine the house building/cave exploration aspect of minecraft but with hundreds of hours of content, dozens of bosses, mod support through an ingame browser, tons and tons of weapon types and interesting uniques, it's great. it's perfect for you if you enjoyed the first 10 hours of minecraft and then got bored.

Would you recommend it over DQ Builders?

probably some minecraft on a friend's server if I find some time

I thought about it but the damn thing is a visual novel machine by now lel

Emulating Explorers of Sky on Wii U after my brother stole my cartridge 8 years ago.

>inb4 ban

didn't play it, sorry

Pokemon Prism on a flashcart I made.
Honestly the best Pokemon game I've played in a long ass time. The battles are challenging, there is a great variety of Pokemon, and a lot of areas to visit.

Attached: IMG_20190520_073601.jpg (1296x2304, 813K)

that's cool

DQ builders is a completely different type of game. In terraria you spend 80% of your time underground. You can mine, but it's not as important as in minecraft. The focus is instead on finding chests hidden in caves or dungeons that have unique loot. There are tons and tons of unique weapons and accessories, and they have some great synergies. You can also mod in traditional RPG roles for gear like healing rods, bard weapons (flutes, harmonicas etc that deal ranged symphonic damage and provide buffs), pretty much anything you can think off. The gameplay loop is exploring, finding loot or crafting materials to get loot, increasing your combat potential and chipping your way through dozens of bosses. You can eventually fly and pull off loads of crazy stuff, and because loot is randomised two characters will end up completely different. In DQ builders you're fulfilling requests and sidequests for villagers (usually building a room with specific features for them). It's much more simplistic and more relaxed. Go for that if you want a casual pick up and play for 50 hours or so. Terraria will last you hundreds.

Do you have a device to flash roms onto a cartridge? How does it work?

I regret not getting a Playstation TV when they were basically giving them out.

Are they expensive now? I own two.

Well you definitely can't find them for $20 anymore.

Yeah I use the flasher sold by insidegadgets, some Aussie cunts make them. Came to 32 bucks with shipping.
The cart was easy to make. This Spaniard guy makes flash memory adapters which you install on the board, and attach the flash memory to. You first need to desolder the ROM chip, then solder the adapter, and the flash memory on top. After that you route some cables like in the picture (depends on if your cart is MBC3 or MBC5). After that you flash it.
I fuck with handhelds a lot. This is a modded GBA I put together using an aluminum shell and a rechargeable battery with a micro USB port.

Attached: IMG_20190419_000524.jpg (1920x1080, 280K)

Fucking neat
Post more pics user I love this shit

This, the feel of freedom is surreal. You can do what ever, wherever and still play games. No need for cables or tv:s just lay back and let it rip.

I'd love to get into GBA modding. That looks really cool.

Is there a way to stuff a raspberry pi inside a gameboy?

>This thread

I should get on Yea Forums in the early morning more.

Attached: 1536778821019.jpg (1200x1027, 353K)

midnight to 6am eastern time Yea Forums was always the best, I miss being NEET

clean the absolute shit out the screen then apply the hinge method
youtube.com/watch?v=PMPqDwVZzzM

I own an SP and a modded old GBA with backlight and I'm still thinking about doing a backlit GBC

modding is a disease

I got one in the "hero pack" which included 10 games in december 2014 for 100€.

So 70€ at most.

Attached: DSC02025.jpg (4320x2432, 2.71M)

Just ask your dad to carefully drill the screw open with a tiny drill

Make sure there is no dust at all on your screen beforehand. Put the protector on slowly with 1 hand and hold a small cleaning towel (like the kind for eyeglasses or electronics) with the other, and if a bubble forms on the protector pull it back up a bit and get the dust off with the towel.
You might be able to grip the screw from the sides with pliers and turn it. Just a thought.

I just got a 2DS for 50€ including Mario Kart 7 in a store that wanted to clear it's stock and I can't stop playing Fire Emblem Awakening.

Holy shit why did I wait so long before getting into the 3DS library this shit is amazing.

Attached: 20190522_141549.jpg (3688x2084, 1.27M)

Very carefully wear away the rest of it with a drill. Don't be an idiot and drill through the back of your ds and it'll come open no problem.

70 burger bux with charger included.

Neat
I didn't even know it was out
>And I still haven't finished pq 1

Let me add a 3rd rec-
Get the 2dsxl! It's cute and I wish I had one!

You could probably use those new raspberry boards that are the size of two pieces of gum.
Here you go. I take it to work everyday because IT is uneventful as fuck, unless something does break lol.

>Caring about thots
Imagine being this beta

Travis strikes again, dragons dogma, octopath

If at least one of those games doesn't interest you in sorry to say but you have shit taste

I'm sad I backed out of both psp go and gb micro. I'd love them now but they are pretty hard to find.

How roomy is the inside of the GBA housing if you didn't include the cartridge internals?

>prism
based
check out gaia too, i blind nuzlock'd it and had a fucking blast

It absolutely is. Just got into GameCube modding. I bought a faulty GC just so I can take the shell and mod it to take full size discs. I'm also waiting on BennVenn's GBC screen to arrive so I can mod my GameBoy. I have an aluminum shell ready for that.
It is really fun. The soldering required is not very advanced. If you really want to get into it get a busted up GBA and refurbish it. If you break it in the process you are only losing about 13 or 15 bucks, so it is good, cheap, practice.

Team Sonic Racing mostly, maybe some BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle later tonight when it's livelier hours for the game. Also working on my living pokedex in Bank. Currently at about 75% done.

Gonna be housesitting for my sister for a week starting tonight too so just gonna be sat there looking after her cat. Not sure what game to focus on but I'd like to take the time to work on my backlog, but not sure what specifically.

Attached: 1392076475039.jpg (350x350, 31K)

There's enough space I'd say. I believe there are some modders that make button boards specifically designed to fit into the GBA.
I definitely will. I have Crystal Clear on my backlog after this so I'll play it after that. I also want to check out Pokemon Brown since it seems to be based on the same universe as Prism.

Attached: IMG_20190522_084303.jpg (2304x1296, 575K)

Damn that’s nice

How's the battery life?

pokemon fire red
warframe

It's breddy good. Haven't actually tested how long it will take to completely run out of juice, but I usually charge it once a week.
It's a 2000 mAh li-po battery so I guess about 9-11 hours.

Holy Fuck this worked. Thanks user i cant thank you enough. Nintendo sukc in terms of build quallity, cant even make screws right

I don’t understand what half of this shit is, only recognize the PSP, Vito, and Sw*tch. Probably shit made for retards is the rest

are you 14?

Jesus, is this how kids talk nowadays? Talk about chugging the “internet culture” koolaid. Embarrassing as hell.
