Felt like an actual RPG where your choices actually mattered. New Vegas forced you down a certain path. The house. NCR. Caesar’s legion. Literally trash for an rpg. You were like 12-14 when you played new Vegas and you have a lot of nostalgia for the game, but I played them both very recently for the first time. Fallout 3 without a doubt was much more fun for me. Not saying new Vegas is bad, but it doesn’t compare. Fallout 3’s karma system was amazing, and so was the impact of your decisions. Also it had much cooler quests and a more open feel to the world. New Vegas just feels skyrimesque in a sense where you just have a fuck ton of quests to do. Lots of filler content. They have like 2 quests each and are isolated so they wont send assassins after you or anything. Been playing Fallout 3 lately.

It's pretty bereft of quests, progression caps out super early and most of the perks are just "increase skill x by y" non-skills.
Least they've got the nice Combat Armour instead of the v2 and v3 abominations that New Vegas added.

And I do like the quests that are there, there's just fucking barely any of them. Tranquility Lane and Mechanizer vs Ant-agonist were pretty good.

Kcd is a good rpg but quite far away from new Vegas.
Centred on melee builds, more 'realistic' jank, much less whacky stuff, comparatively little mod support.
It's as close to a late medieval fighter simulator without turning into meme organ by organ health meter.
