Chrono Trigger is a late SNES JRPG. It didn't do anything on the same caliber as FF7 did at the time. You're the zoomer if you don't remember the transition to 3D and the disc innovations that the PS1 can produce, like realized 3D models, pre-rendered backgrounds, CGI cutscenes, MP3 audio, multiple disc games, etc.
FF7 is even more next level than any of the SNES games. I don't know how anyone can deny this. Even compared to Final Fantasy 4, FF7 is about a million times bigger.
