Let’s keep Quest Helper Addons out of the Classic Addon API. I think we can all agree mindlessly spamming your map looking for quest locations just like in BFA goes against the Classic feel.

Questing addons were absolutely terrible, unreliable and glitchy throughout the game up until WOTLK where they drastically improved. You want to spend 10 mins reading Wowhead/Thottbot for clues and hints for every single quest; knock yourself out! You’ll come to realize reading the quest text is faster anyhow.

I mained a night elf rogue in vanilla on a pvp server. I dinged 40 in patch 1.9 and didn't ever hit 60 before TBC rolled out. I never hit 60 because I was constantly running all over azeroth doing stupid shit with my new mount. For instance, I collected stealth bonus gear and would try to stealth around orgrimmar to explore it as a level 45-50 sub spec rogue. (Which was actually doable). I would kill level ~20 quest NPCs in barrens and ratchet etc, and vanish. I would fight level 40 barrens guards. I would corpse camp green level 39s in arathi highlands. I would do AV for hours not understanding what the hell the objectives actually meant. I would try to get sunday fishing hat and fail. I would try to get STV arena trinket and fail. I would farm for swiftthistle and other herbs in darkshore not because it was optimal but because it was my favorite zone in the game. I would do runs through deadmines for lowbies in westfall. I would pickpocket those centaurs in 1k needles for pet rocks. I would level my lockpicking and offer free lockpicking for people. I would fight level ?? hunters and mages who terrorized westfall and duskwood not because I would win but because it was fun. I would participate in xroads and tarren mill raids and even the occasional raids on orgrimmar, and defend against horde raids as well. I would wallclimb out of bounds and make fraps demo videos. I would corpse run into orgrimmar and rez next to thrall just to take a screenshot before i died.

When people talk about WoW and say the game isnt fun because X raid is easy or Y raid has simple boss mechanics, I seriously have no idea who these people are. Did we even play the same game? There are million things to do besides raidlogging. I can only think these are the same braindead retarded normies who ruined retail, because they are incapable of having/making their own fun and need developers to spoonfeed them every bit of content.
