What is your excuse for not buying this game?
It's on sale, it's on nearly every platform, and you are pretty much guaranteed to like it.

Too hard.
just give me King of Cards and stop milking this poor game already
you mean to say you're a shitty casual normie?
platformers are ghey
>What is your excuse for not buying this game?
but user, I did buy the game.
I'm really enjoying it, so far the only thing I didn't like is the Reize boss fight because I know about the autism in the background attached to him.
Shovel Knight is so fucking overated. It's just a deccent Duck Tales/Mega Man remake.
The difficulty is very reasonable.
You're a fag.
Telling people to buy it on sale before the price is bumped up to 40 dollars isn't milking it user.
>bought it for the wii u
>finally moved out of parents house, have only my switch and ps4 with me now
>see the switch version with all that extra stuff
Is it worth it to double dip, bros?
its not. you can tank everything easily.
wait, what autism? I finished all 3 campaigns and I only know his relation to specter Knight
you nintendofags disgust me with your rebuying of the same game fifteen times
It might be worth 12 bucks if you want to play the content that will come out eventually.
I bought the physical 3DS version ages ago.
Best version imo for that delicious 3D.
You could say the same thing about Minecraft.
No excuses here.
My favorite game ever and I will support it until I die.
It's become an obsession but I love it anyway (bought 4 soon to be 5 times when the switch copy decides to stop postponing itself)
>game borrows all the aesthetic of Mega Man but cuts the non-linearity and boss weaknesses therefore having no reason for themed bosses other than appealing to nostalgia for marketing purposes.
Man, fuck this game.
When are the amiibos coming out?
The Plague Knight one is too nice to not get.
The boss weaknesses exist, just not as they are in megaman where you can tank the hits and still win.
I.E. Anchor is good against propellor, fire wand against specter, etc etc
If you have the money, sure. Not just for the content but also for supporting a company that isn't cancer.
Whenever king's story releases.
...which was pushed back for like the 3rd or 4th time.
WHERE THE HELL IS KING KNIGHT
GOD FUCKING DAMN IT
Thats funny, I thought every boss was weak to Phase Locket.
I already own it for switch, should i get the other versions for their exclusive bosses/modes?
Phase Locket was a mistake.
2d games are boring
Phase Locket is basically easy mode as an item
I never liked using it much.
At first I thought it was useless since it made you invincible, but it was so short I never found it useful.
Even now I only use it for very certain places and never during boss fights (except maybe polar's)
Plague>Shovel>Specter
Haven’t played king yet how is he?
he's not out yet, they've delayed him 3 times now I think
they literally delayed him again a month or two ago just so they can release him on the same day as that shitty Showdown fighting game
they've milked this shit dry, he's been in development for years now and they're not even making a profit on the campaigns
>just so they can release him on the same day as that shitty Showdown fighting game
I played Showdown at PAX East and it was fun
fair enough, but for people that don't give a shit and just want King it feels like a kick in the balls
The developers are fucking jews. Other than that, excellent game, would pirate again.
In all fairness it was said that they'd be released together quite some time ago. It's the final piece of content and just dropping Showdown on its own as the end to Shovel Knight would be quite underwhelming instead of they dropping it with King Knight to make it one big celebration.
>The developers are fucking jews
Of all the things you could have said, you chose the one that makes the least possible sense.
I'm interested in it since, like the other DLCs, it seems like they're actually treating it as a standalone game with its own story modes and stuff, rather than just a basic versus mode.
>fucking jews
>Literally giving away the expansions for free to everyone who bought the game when it first came out and are now giving the full game at a discount
The difficulty is middling git gud.
>increase the price of your game
>audience claps
Had they not done that, I would have bought it after completing it. When I checked the price, it felt as if it had been cheaper before, and, as it turned out, it really had been.
The game has a lot more content than it did at release and they're bleeding money giving shit away for free. It makes sense for them to offset attrition in sales with price hikes.
I bought the Treasure Trove ages ago. Stupidly good game. Specter Knight's campaign was awesome, though Shovel and Plague's were also good. I especially liked the story of Plague trying to impress that girl he liked.
Really excited for King of Cards, though it feels like it's gonna end up vaporware at this point.
I'd be more upset at the price increase if it wasn't for the fact the expansions are basically standalone games in their own right.
I love how lightweight it is, makes it easy to boot up on a shitty laptop.
I feel like plague is underrated. He's just really fun to control, which made me enjoy him more than the other characters.
Yatch club had their own way of taking a shit on him during the Specter DLC
>Reize's backstory involves a special amulet passed down by his father
>his ingame dad hands it to Specter Knight instead
>Reize's dark form is hilariously edgy and complete with a "teleports behind you" attack
I feel like they should have gone one step further and made him a joke boss but I guess Zubaz already filled the role.
>h-HURR DURR devrlopurz have to eat somethign
No. Look at the guys who made Hollow Knight, they know how to manage their assets.
They gave a really long time period for people to buy the game at a low price, the game also goes on sales often.
I bought it on this sale and kinda regret it. I feel like as I'm older I just don't really enjoy hard games that much anymore.
I'm at the Plague Knight stage and you have to keep moving because the floor is constantly shooting fireballs up your ass ALL THE WHILE dodging all the flying enemies and other bullshit.
It's not that I can't do it, it's just I find no joy in eventually succeeding after dozens of deaths. I don't get off this "git gud" bullshit anymore. It's weird. It took me like 10 tries to finally get the Spectre Knight and I felt no joy at all, I was just glad that it was over with and I won't have to revisit that level ever again.
>No. Look at the guys who made Hollow Knight
>'Look at this one exception of a dev going above an beyond and now I will hold every single other dev to this unreasonable standard so I can complain about a game I pirated'
>It's not that I can't do it, it's just I find no joy in eventually succeeding after dozens of deaths. I don't get off this "git gud" bullshit anymore. It's weird.
What's weird is that you actually think Shovel Knight is a hard game
I've already pirated it for 3DS. it was alright.
Good thing i saw this in time, i was about to buy it
but i wanna buy deadcells instead
why this?
I have, two times. One time on PC and receantly again on switch when it was on sale. It is dope.
Stop jacking off so often, worked for me.
you're gonna love the airship level
Nobody respects you more for making this post. You're just being a dick to some random person on the internet.
It's cute.
So are you, but you don't see him crying bitch tears, you cry baby
I already bought it for free.
>You're just being a dick to some random person on the internet.
It's like I'm really posting on Yea Forums!
Pirated it on 3ds
Will be buying on the Switch
How do you buy something if it's free?
Is it true that there's a boss rush like Mega Man at the final stage? Are there check points and health refills at least?
What about the other 2 campaigns, are they harder/easier? I'm not too big on the pogo jumping to be honest.
I'm tired of this shit. I'm tired of teenagers looking for put downs. I'm tired of angry morons telling each other to commit suicide. I'm tired of smarmy fucks reminding other people how bad they are at everything. There's no reason for people to be so mean to each other here.
There's a boss rush but you get health after most of the fights. The other characters play completely differently, although Plague's stages the same as Shovel's with a few addendums and the side stages being new. Plague is very momentum-based because he has bomb jumps, and Specter flies through enemies and certain stage elements at one of two angles in either direction depending on your positioning and he also has rail grinding on the scythe; it's more stilted than Plague but very fluid and unique.
King Knight seems to play like a midpoint between Shovel Knight and Wario Land; he gets an extra jump whenever his shoulder barge hits an enemy.
You're definitely correct but saying that, especially the way you're saying it, isn't going to do anything and makes you look like a sensitive outsider.
You can't be mean on any other website nowadays, so people tend to go all out here. It's just how it is.
i kinda want to get it but i feel like the game might be too easy
I've been posting on Yea Forums for over six years. At some point you get tired of newfags acting like assholes to fit in.
All the content is available for the Wii u
>not pirating a game you might want to play
Do you also have a blacked.com subscription?
It's about as hard as something like Mega Man 5 or 6. It's not pathetic, and you can get through the game without any of the extra tools the game gives you if you want to be a purist for the challenge, but you won't find it too extreme. As somebody who is bad at video games there's various places I had enough trouble with to die 5+ times throughout the 3 campaigns. There's also NG+, optional stages/content, and Challenges. I also think it's generally worth it for how good and distinct the characters are from one another, the music, and the simple but strong characters/world/story.
Trust me, I've been here for almost 11 years and I agree. It's just that if you get mad about people being mad you're not going to convince people of shit. That's how most people are here.
It's easier than anything from the NES era that it imitates. It gives you a huge healthbar and all manner of difficulty cheesing tools.
>At some point you get tired of newfags acting like assholes to fit in.
m8 I'm the guy you're crying about and I've been here since '08
i already own it
Plague of Shadows is the best campaign and if you disagree you're either a fucking normalfag or a cocksucking edgelord
Silksong is basically Specter+King Knight campaigns being charged as a full blown sequel.
Even Team Cherry knew handling expansions for the main game as they were doing wasn't manageable for long.
You can still just buy an older physical version and still get everything for free.
They are giving DLC for free. If you wanna call someone a jew, better be the A Hat In Time devs. They promised free DLC on their kickstarter, and now are charging for it while putting pride flags on the game. Plus, they added that negro kid, which really clashes with the rest of the game.
And you're still a dumb shitposter who may as well be a teenager fresh out of Yea Forums.
I wonder what the dude who made Reize thinks about his character's backstory in SK
IIRC he was happy about it.
