What's your honest opinion on Undertale?
What's your honest opinion on Undertale?
Goat shota
it makes my dick hard
I'll probably never play it. Not because of the fanbase, it just doesn't seem like I'll enjoy it. Apparently it's one of those games you have to go into blind?
I still want a piece of her snail pie if you know what I mean
For the longest time I've never had any idea what it was about or why it became popular. even looking at the characters just makes it more confusing.
One of my favorite games ever
Looks like a try hard indie game that succeeds in its humor and gameplay. Characters are pretty cool too.
Enjoyable but short game with no reply value. Fanbase just ruins the appeal of it
I really liked it. It felt fresh.
Toriel is the GOAT goat in a GOAT about goats.
Calarts trash
Loved it, confused by my friends who have beaten it like 7 times each
It's okay
Gameplay has a lot of missed potential for the sake of what probably is an attempt at making characters feel more unique. They were already booming with personality, so establishing it earlier on enemies as means of upping the difficulty would have been better: The game is all too easy & overcommited in every area at the expense of gameplay: The game may be funny, witty, cute, whatever else you could be feeling, but at the same time, its very dumb, entry level & easy.
Pretty neat idea. Some of the characters annoyed me, but overall it's pretty charming and has some good moments. I went neutral, went in almost blind. By the end I didn't feel like replaying it, but it's a good concept. Music is great.
Definitely the most christian game I've ever played, unironically.
Toriel is 100% pure concentrated sex.
you still should, you don't really have to go in blind, knowing a plot spoiler means nothing when the dialogue and gameplay are most of the experience
i really don't like rpgs but undertale is one of my favorite games of all time, it's really succeeded chrono trigger as the jrpg for people who don't like jrpgs
WOOOOOOOOOOOAH STORY OF UNDERTALE
I liked the soudtrack a lot.
I would have love it if it was only Boss fights, but at the end of the day is just a shit copycat game ripping off Mother 3, Yume Nikki, Cave Story and some Touhou. I regret every penny.
The moral of the game is retarded and only understandable if you have the Homestuck "humour" thing.
was a fun experience
fanbase is pure unfiltrated autism though, as expected of lgbt fur degeneracy.
The internet kind of ruined it. Not because of the "muh fanbase" meme, but it's a game that strongly depends on not knowing anything about it but people posted all sorts of stuff about it all the time when it came out.
It was still a fantastic experience, but I wish I didn't know about the different routes and other details before going in.
unironically amazing game 10/10
Good, genocide scratched my metanarrative player-avatar duality itch Persona 1 and 2 awoke in me.
Pacifist was good for what it attempted to be.
nigga the game is dirt cheap and 6 hours long
play it you asshole
It's entirely carried by the characters and the whole meta game subversion gimmick. Without the story and characters, I'd doubt we'd still be talking about it. Other than that, sub-mediocre danmaku with limited RPG elements.
Also, music was catchy as fuck.
It’s Reddit the game
You have better ways and games to waste 3 and half hours of your time. Just dont.
>Without the substance, it would solely be style
Don't care for playing it, but the two songs I've heard were nice. I might listen to the entire soundtrack soon.
Based papyrus dropping truth bombs like blue souls.
Care to explain?
Is this about circumcision?
Really enjoyed it, felt it was very charming. Some of the faults become more obvious the more one plays it, but the package as a whole is pretty solid for what it set out to be.
Also the Japanese fanbase is fucking amazing.
it was fun. I liked it a lot.
never understood the hate.
It was under some Heritage Foundation youtube video on trannies, so take a guess.
It's honestly the best game of the 2010s.
Of course, that's not saying much, because the second-best game of the 2010s is mediocre at best, but Undertale is a masterpiece nonetheless.
Never played it.
It's... Not terrible but not great. Good for 1 or 2 playthroughs, but it's not the "MUST PLAY THIS OMG REVOLUTIONIZES GAMING 11/10 GOTYAY MASTERPIECE" that some sickos make it out to be. There's a couple interesting concepts, the sparing/interaction mechanic is interesting but underutilized, and god DAMN is the game inconsistent in terms of actual art quality. Characters range from genuinely heartwarming and interesting to fucking meme trash that gives me Borderlands 2 nam flashbacks.
Deltarune thankfully irons out a lot of the quality issues and is terrifyingly polished even in its' unfinished, single chapter state. Hopefully it'll be worth a more serious look at than Undertale.
An enjoyable game, that when you think of it objectively as both a game and a story kind of falls apart, on launch it was so charming that this fact didn't really matter until the initial honeymoon period wore off. Playing it now as someone without the experience of waiting for the game since the first demo, I can't really imagine how it's reputation would precede it in a positive fashion, because it is very much a game where knowing as little about it as possible makes for the best experience.
In short, ignorance is bliss. Focus on the funny words and fun bullet patterns and don't think about the rest.
Deltarune is just great though.
Went in knowing absolutely nothing. Hated everything about it.
It has best gote, so it's a 10/10 from me
Overrated garbage that is no more then a 5/10 that is only carried by the characters and 14 year olds who think the game is deep.
I understand it's not for everyone, but you gotta admit, the fact it was made by ONE GUY is fucking impressive.
The soundtrack is undeniably the best thing about the game.
Post your favorite Undertale tracks.
youtu.be
This gote made me realize I'm bi.
bland cookie cutter shit, literally the sing movie of vidya
Game has soul, but it came out in 2015, right at the death of very end of when you can enjoy games like Undertale. Now that kind of shit is just old hat, it was the last of a paradigm. I liked it then but you have to be some kind of chucklefuck zoomer weeb to enjoy it now
>you're just saying that because 4 years ago you were 14 years old and have nostalgia!!!!!!1!!
nah, I'm a 30 year old boomer, actually maybe that's I don't like it anymore. deltarune just feels absolutely barren compared to the original experience of undertale too.
Not when he just basically copied and pasted everything he could.
You stole the words right out of my mouth on my exact thoughts about this game with the most criminal is the underused reset/reload mechanic for interactivity. You could of even have a few puzzles revolve around that but the most you get is a couple of easter eggs that lead nowhere.
Based Deltarune optimists. I'm there with you.
I love how the game became a point of inspiration for a whole new generation of artists, becoming far more than just one videogame.
>not posting the version with captions
You didn't do a good job to entice me, but sure.
I'll do it you fag!!
What do you recommend?
Is Deltarune a good game to play without any prior experience to Undertale?
Great characters and music, weak story and gameplay.
>lithoromantic
What the fuck?
wanting to date rocks i think
>Overrated
kinda meh, ,massively overrated
music was fucking A+ gotta say that
"Somebody who is lithromantic can feel romantic attraction towards others and also enjoy being in romantic relationships but only in theory."
...
I have an idea. How about your making up labels and just be yourself? Is that so hard? Where the fuck did this "spectrum" bullshit come from? If gender is a social construct, then why construct even more genders?
Call me an npc but I was pushed away from how popular it was. Seeing Sans everywhere only made me hate him and all the 12yrolds talking about he could beat anything and everyone.
Maybe I'll play it in the future. I'm more of an action gamer but it might be worth a shot once the aversion goes away.
sneed of Yea Forums
I played it, I liked it, I promptly forgot about it. Then everyone started not shutting the up fuck about it
but the people who cry about the fanbase "ruining it" are equally bad - if you can't enjoy the original source material because some cringy kids also enjoy it then i dunno what to tell you bro
>Is Deltarune a good game to play without any prior experience to Undertale?
Not at all, all the big moments rely on you having played it.
I put it off for a long time because of the fans but finally gave it a go end of last year, had an absolute blast with it, DELTARUNE is fantastic too.
>Where the fuck did this "spectrum" bullshit come from?
I can tell you but the people here may not like it...
deltarune release when?
I want to fuck the goat!
I want to FUCK and impregnate Toriel Undertale
and then have boy gote 1 and 2 as side hoes
and Susie
and Undyne
I love Sans but I can't actually fap to him for some reason.
Mediocre
I liked it.
It's because he's a fucking skeleton. There's nothing there to fuck.
Probably. Once the clothes come off, I get turned off.
>skeleton
>porno artists give him some spooky ecto dick and not an actual "boner."
Is this like the Yakuza thing where people are suggesting you play all the previous Yakuza games before you play Yakuza 0 because if you don't, you won't understand the small and insignificant references and callbacks to the previous games?
The Rosebud of video games
I bought it shortly after it came out once it was getting such solid reviews, and for me at least it lives up to the hype. Certainly one of my top 5 RPGs, maybe one of my top 5 games period
I really liked it!
made me emotional and stuff
Brilliant and a gold standard for indie games, everyone I know likes this game. It appeals to literally every normie somehow, I guess it's the combination of a great soundtrack and likable cast of characters which somehow is exceedingly rare across the medium.
>tfw no goatmom
Same. I beat it once, started a genocide playthrough and quit because I'm a bitch, then eventually re-played pacifist a couple years later. I kinda feel like it doesn't hold up to multiple playthroughs well. On the flip side, it's a great game to watch Let's Plays for
Unironically one of the best games I've ever played. I could be replaying it right now but the ending hurts too much. Pic related
It was worth pirating. Had I paid for it I probably would have regretted it. Game is ok for free if you can mentally separate it out from the fanbase.
The ending of the pacifist route unironically made me cry and set my controller aside for a moment
It's a great game. Really effective use of post-modern story-telling merged into gameplay. The characters and story are okay I guess. Humor is great sometimes. The soundtrack is god-tier. The game-play is unique, but definitely not the selling point.
8/10
Ever since that one message shortly after Deltarune's release, Toby Fox has been pretty much radio silent on its' release date as far as I'm aware. Personally, I think we're gonna get some news about it by the end of the year, and we'll probably see it by 2020 or so. That's just my thoughts, of course.
good game bad fanbase easy gameplay great soundtrack annoying humor low price
thread
why is every single person trans
it's so specific
it's like if someone made this chart but exclusively with different roman catholic eschatological beliefs and someone went 'are any of them, uh, like not roman catholic or maybe even atheist' and the author was like 'naw'
I pirated also, but on android
The game is pretty mediocre for me
Obviously the person who made it is trans, and decided to shoehorn their identity in.
I loved it, though I originally had some bits spoiled for me.
I had nothing at all spoiled for Deltrarune for me and it was amazing. Can't wait for more from that.
you just really should only play pacifist, genocide and maybe some variant of neutral and that's it. If hard mode was finished it would probably have better replay value.
You think Yea Forums will lose its shit over Temmie's upcoming game the same way they did over Toby's?
Why would you want to play genocide? What kind of monster would kill the dogs and Papyrus?
that shit looks like the gayest shit ever
It's a condensed little bundle of soul.
only if toby's composing
Temmie's making a game?
I actually quit my genocide run after killing Papyrus. It's not like anything was difficult, but I just realized that I genuinely wasn't having any fun
Congrats, you missed the only two fights that make it enjoyable: Undyne and Sans
I know, I just didn't wanna keep playing
tuyoki.itch.io
For the most part it won't be a big deal, but there's one major event so far that might be harder to understand, and there's a hidden side-character in Undertale that may be pretty important in Deltarune. There's also references and similarities, but those aren't a big deal to miss.
It's probably a good game, but I'll never play it because it's fans that I associate with the game are the most insufferable people in the world.
I mean if you really want to get more out of the game and you already played pacifist, its probably the next most unique run to do. Also Undyne and Sans were actually pretty fun to fight and the the way how the fights started were very cool.
I've watched more let's plays and streams of this game than any other. It's like the game was designed with e-celebs reacting to it in mind. It's not the only game to be e-celeb bait but it is my favorite of such games.
Do you have the one where it's the real Undertale characters and it's a parody of that image
%name% is my waifu so I like part of the game.
I don't like the peaceful routes though, they suck balls.
Escaped Chasm. A small taste of what the young lady herself has planned for a game she herself is working on. She wants to make her own "Undertale".
t. Chara
>still never made it past the 2 second mark
That's a very cute MC. Will check it out.
>hearts aren’t color coded to the character that gives you that heart color in the game
I must be autistic for this to bother me
Entertaining, but once you’ve played through it once, you’ve pretty much seen everything it has to offer so there’s not much point replaying it

A long time ago, a human fell into the RUINS.
Injured by its fall, the human called out for help.
ASRIEL, the king's son, heard the human's call.
He brought the human back to the castle.
Over time, ASRIEL and the human became like siblings.
The King and Queen treated the human child as their own.
The underground was full of hope.
Then... One day...
The human became very ill.
The sick human had only one request.
To see the flowers from their village.
But there was nothing we could do.
The next day.
The next day.
...
The human died.
ASRIEL, wracked with grief, absorbed the human's SOUL.
He transformed into a being with incredible power.
With the human SOUL, ASRIEL crossed through the barrier.
He carried the human's body into the sunset.
Back to the village of the humans.
ASRIEL reached the center of the village.
There, he found a bed of golden flowers.
He carried the human onto it.
Suddenly, screams rang out.
The villagers saw ASRIEL holding the human's body.
They thought that he had killed the child.
The humans attacked him with everything they had.
He was struck with blow after blow.
ASRIEL had the power to destroy them all.
But...
ASRIEL did not fight back.
Clutching the human...
ASRIEL smiled, and walked away.
Wounded, ASRIEL stumbled home.
He entered the castle and collapsed.
His dust spread across the garden.
The kingdom fell into despair.
The king and queen had lost two children in one night.
The humans had once again taken everything from us.
The king decided it was time to end our suffering.
Every human who falls down here must die.
With enough souls, we can shatter the barrier forever.
It's not long now.
King ASGORE will let us go.
King ASGORE will give us hope.
King ASGORE will save us all.
You should be smiling, too.
Aren't you excited?
Aren't you happy?
You're going to be free.
I literally only understand the bisexual, the other ones Just sounds like made up shit
fish
>there are people who think Undyne is a good waifu
While I appreciate Toby's effort, I felt the game was deeply flawed and overall trite. I have zero interest in playing anything else by Toby for the time being (I haven't looked into Deltarune myself, only heard about it second-hand). Maybe some time in the future if Toby learns how to write in a way that's not fanfiction+anime in style, I may come back.
That being said, it is a game that I think people should play if only for its gimmick being somewhat unique/modern. And no, just watching lets plays does not do it justice, you have to experience both the pacifist and genocide routes firsthand to really get it. I just thought the way it was all handled was terrible in a way that makes me want to puke.
>girl is a furry
hmmm
Based and musclegirlpilled
Cringe and unenlightened
It's an improvement if you ask me.
Why the fuck would you want Undyne as a waifu?
A. She's ugly
B. She would kill you
sexy goat feet
I thought it was a pretty decent game, too bad i fucking watch some shit fuck play it instead of going in blind, while i did play it by myself it wasn't the same knowing everything that was gonna happen. Nice music and serviceable characters. I don't know why people like to make a huge stink about it.
I also can't wait for DeltaRune am for sure gonna play thought as soon as it drops.
A. With fanart reality can be whatever I want it to be
B. Thank god
Overrated by the fanbase because its babby's first meta game
Smash bros Undertale Happened
How many meta games can you name?
I see a bright future full of porn for this upcoming game
Bruh have you seen the shit that Temmie draws?
you are more than welcome to keep posting these
