Someone already said Disgaea which is a good choice. I recommend Overlord. You have minions and you can order them to kill things for you. Fun game.

You can also fight people described as your (otherwise offscreen) underlings, so that they vote for upgrades you want in a senate of sorts.

You upgrade gear used by your actual units (this game is a SRPG , like Fire Emblem, but much more complex and grindy) by going into a procedurally generated map and beating up the personifications of those upgrades

Your units can throw people to get around. Your baseline unit is comic relief plush pengiun, without any good skills. They explode once you throw them. When you have a lot of unde ployed units, you can throe an enemy into the spce where you deploy units from and If your undeployed units are high enouh level, they beat the enemy unit up and it joins you afterward. How´s that for slavery?
The whole game has this silly atttude to it, like a shonen anime which doesn´t take itself seriously.
