the obvious answer to both this and OP's question assuming OP doesn't allow the workaround of allowing you to use your fists if you choose sword is sticking with the fist since if the sword breaks you'd be fucked for the rest of the game unless there's an unmentioned note that you can get more weapons. if you took away what the weapons actually are and looked purely at the mechanics the choice is obviously the unbreakable one if you have to beat the whole game with it
