Switch thread! What are you playing?

Attached: DSC_0269.jpg (3840x2160, 3.3M)

Atelier lulua

I never played okami so it's been fun messing with the villagers and what not very comfy.

I've also been playing guilty gear which has been fun I got my ass kicked in lobby but it's cool to see high level players do combos

I've also been playing akane and castle of stone two very good games.

n-nothing

Gungeon and Wizard of Legend, mostly. Switch is great for playing rougelites.

mostly grinding deviants in MHGU
Excited for MM2 so I've been playing Mario Maker on my 3ds

Nothing.
Where's my fucking pikmin.

Been playing some Shakedown Hawaii and Blaster Master Zero 2. Will move on to the Castlevania Collection tonight

I only play smash because it’s fun. I dont time for videogames since I started working.
Looking forward to pokemon as a fallback game, so I come here once a week to see if there are news. Your thread was up instead.

Minecraft. First time.

I had a sudden urge to replay Disgaea 5 but I've only gotten an hour into it so far. Other than that I've just been playing a bit of Smash every other week or so.

I bought that top down racing game that is on sale for 6€ now. Its a decent enough podcast burner.

I've been playing the NES game actually.

i'm pwaying da mario game! bing bing wahoo! i'm cowecting all the stars!

MK8 and Smash, waiting for Dragon Quest XI to come out.

Attached: 1522278511661.jpg (1000x892, 69K)

im on the verge of hacking my switch. got the emm backed up, and prepping the new SD card. Before i go through with it, will I regret it bros?

How's Phantasy Star? I always kinda wanted to play it, but 2 is an absolute slog so I can't imagine how user unfriendly the original is.

>i play smash
>i dont have time for video games

Xenoblade 2
FFIX
Smash with friends on the weekends, fuck the shitty online.

I just picked up REmake, Super Mario U Deluxe, and my fourth controller today, and I bought Okami and Final Fantasy VII a couple of days ago. I'm thinking about rounding things off with possibly Cuphead.

Mostly smash. It never gets old for me, ive already got over 4000 quickplay matches played and i love it as much as when i started. I am looking forward to metroid prime 4, bayo 3, pokemon, and animal crossing.

I've been playing MK8, I got it recently and it's fun. I don't understand how the trophy/stars work though.
Also, are there any decent town builders on the Switch?

dragon quest builder. part 2 is coming out soon

Tetris 99

just complete all 4 races always in first place and you’ll get gold trophy + 3 stars

I've been playing MK8 online. I've only got 6000 points and I've reached a point where basically everyone I come across is Japanese and using a Heavy/Small Kart combo. It's getting kind of dull as it feels like I'm just playing against the same players over and over. On the plus side I still regularly get top 3 quite easily with an Isabelle/City Tripper/AC Wheels/AC Glider setup, despite hearing that it's actually pretty trash tier. I just think something like Mario Kart shouldn't be played like Smash where there's tiers and blah blah blah. It's fun still fun though.

You get a gold trophy for coming in first, silver for second and bronze for third, like any game. This is for all four races combined of course.

The stars on the other hand are confusing. But basically, it's about how close to 60 points you got. If you come in first at all four races, you get the max (60 points). If you come in first in three matches, but second in one race, you'll get 57 points, which is two stars. 55 Points gets you one star and anything below that is no stars. The stars are just letting you know how close to perfect you got. Three stars is perfect.

That option to press X at the end of a race and use a star? I still don't know what the fuck that is and I've played this game for hundreds of hours.

Attached: 1429573319685.jpg (796x709, 139K)

Smash and Binding of Isaac. Was mostly playing smash with friends, but have enjoyed online with Ganondorf and Olimar quite a bit.

Monster Hunter Generations and Okami

Keep playing Isabelle, but swap out the City Tripper for Sports Bike or Master Cycle. And use Slim or Triforce Tires.

I honestly don't know why people pick heavy, unless they're confident they can get out into first at the start of every race and get a big enough lead where getting hit with a blue won't cause them to fall behind. I prefer light drivers because you're going to get hit at least once and have a faster start up time.

Tfw got to last level and lost interest.

Hopefully 2 doesn't lock you out of sandbox.

Anyone play REmake on switch and can confirm the load times are god awful?

Nothing because i have the drifting stick problem.
Ordered a new control stick on amazon for 5 bucks, hopefully i'll be able to fix it.

Helping people with EX deviants on MHGU

I've not had that much interest in the DQ games but I'll take a look.
Thanks, so the stars are points based, alright. And I assume you have to earn the trophies in each class? Only I'm pretty sure I got a trophy in a cup/class I hadn't actually completed.

I'll give it a shot. Last time I tried using a motorcycle I just couldn't get used to the drifting. Will definitely need to practice offline so I don't lose any points online. And most of my wins come from overtaking the Heavies at the last minute after they get Blue'd. It's quite satisfying, feeling like the underdog.

Mines been collecting dust since TGC

Playing through some REmake on my Switch. Such a great game, but I could never take myself to beat it. Gonna try it again on easy mode and again on harder difficulties.

Nothing, its just collecting dust month after month of zero games. I guess I should have waited for emulation to play the 3 games it has.

post pic of your switch with timestamp and a tripcode

Has anyone played Project Nimbus Complete? I was thinking of getting it to tide me over until DXM.

Monster hunter, but the loser I get to the end of G Rank, the more I don't want to play since I know I'll be done.

Well, City Tripper is a bike as well. It just has wider drifting. The sports bike/Master Cycle are good because they drift instantly rather than having the 1 second lag time. It does take getting used to. But once you do, you can make tighter turns and not rely on memorization of the track.

i did it. fuck it

Fantastic, the automap is a game changer. You have the choice of original master system difficulty, or "ages" mode which gives 4x xp and 4x money from battles as well as lowering the encounter rate to compensate. I've been playing on original mode, and I've found it relaxing to grind and slowly work my way up. It's quite simple, but also offers a ton of freedom and zero handholding. There are three planets to explore and tons of caves with multiple floors.

WHY ARE JOYCONS SO FUCKING TERRIBLE

Anyway to fix joycon drift? No matter what I do, they always end up drifting again.

Are there any good racing/driving games on Switch yet?

Splatoon, Smash, MHGU. The usual
Been trying to clean up some of my post-game XB2 stuff and TSA's DLC.
Once I deal with that stuff, it's onto Dragons Dogma, Dark Souls 1 and Shakedown Hawaii

Finished Va-11 Hall-A yesterday. Still playing Mario U DX and FFXII TZA. Also got Mario Maker 2 pre- purchased and preloaded.

Just buy new joycons for 89.99$ user :^)

I'm still playing Dragon's Dogma but I've spent a little bit of time playing the Castlevania collection.

Buy replacement analog sticks. They're like $6 off ebay/amazon.

Anyone here played the Doom 2016 port? I have the possibility to get it for 20 bucks

Outrun is a classic and it's on Switch.

smash dlc roster
e3 nintendo predictions
direct prediction dates later

Any opinions on the re4 port other than the price?

costs too much

Dragon's Dogma. Fuck Capcom but god damn this game is fun to fuck around in. Playing Magick Archer with a Mage pawn.

I don't know about the RE4 port, but I got REmake, and I'm actually taken aback that it can't handle 60fps on a 17 year old game. Load times are pretty bad too, and I've ended up with a black loading screen even after the door animation, which itself is a loading screen.

>waiting for Dragon Quest XI to come out.
Im also waiting, do you know when it comes out?

Cites Skylines is on the switch. Handles pretty well but it,only has 2 of the dlcs.

Project Highrise complete collection is Sim Tower spiritual successor. Great game.

Kiarosoft games are quickly being ported, over. Fun, cheap, simple and addicting builders and RPGs.

Does it run well? Been thinking in buying it for ps4 but I rather play rpgs portable

So far it has ran well, better than nelke did. No frame drops or anything, and I've only played in portable mode

is it normal in handheld mode for the joycons and tablet to feel like they're going to fall apart or break off? I can't play on the go because of this

Still playing FFVII, got to the second disc, right past the wheelchair Cloud arc
I've gotten to the end of this game years ago yet I must have completely forgotten everything in disc 2 because this all seems new to me. I also feel like I better understand what exactly happened with Cloud and his memories, I guess that shit went right over my head when I was younger.
Really enjoying leveling up my materia, I just found out that counter stacks so now I wanna just grind the fuck out of materia to explore all the possibilities

I see, thanks. Played the arland trilogy on vita so it cant be worse than that (though Escha and Logy ran smooth)

>Sim Tower spiritual successor
Sick! I'll check it out, thanks. Forgot about Skylines, didn't that run badly?

Definitely runs better than any atelier game I played in vita, that's for sure

Is this the soi thread? What kind of soi goes well with the Switch while my wife's boyfriend and her son watch me play?

I play starlink and mercenary saga chronicles most every evening having a blast

Personally i like Yeo's brand basedmilk. My wifes kid won't drink it though, i usually just get him soda.

Got the Switch version and I'm almost done with my first run. It's really disappointing because we could of gotten wii aiming or gyro aiming but Capcom was greedy and decided to just port the PS4/XOne version. Besides that the aiming glitch is still here, there are a few audio glitches like you can hear the crying dog from the ganados house when you shouldn't be and it drops a few frames here and there but besides that it's alright. It's not a bad port of RE4 but it just could of been so much more.

waiting for the revisions

Arrives this friday

Attached: Labyrinth of Refrain - Coven of Dusk.jpg (926x1500, 256K)

I'm on the fence for this game, is it good?
I mean, it looks pretty nice for a dungeon crawler

Gathering dust.

How did Yui get in?

Attached: file.png (86x120, 25K)

I tested the waters with the demo. So far I liked it, but I think I am going to get stuck a lot.

It hasn't been announced. Just a "this fall" announcement.

Finished Tales of Vesperia, can't decide whether to move onto Torna: The Golden Country or Shining Resonance Refrain, or just play more Smash.
I also still haven't played any Splatoon 2 despite having owned it (and the DLC) for several months.

Attached: 1552313554435.jpg (640x640, 48K)

I've been playing AC3 but I think I've dropped it for good. Just too boring. Gonna go back to Ace Attorney.

Answer me bros I need your opinions on this one
Don’t remember how much it costs and if it is on sale or not but Fast RMX is great if you love F-Zero / Wipeout

I 100% Fast RMX but thanks for the rec.

whaaat no gyro aiming? fuck

Disgaea 5 by myself and MHGU with my brother. Both some of the best grinds in history. This is how you handle grinding in a video game.

Get these metal buckle locks

Attached: s-l300.jpg (300x300, 18K)

The switch would be really good if it didn't completely shit itself after 2017 :( my most played switch game this year is a ps2 port

Should I buy MHGU even though I have a big ass backlog?

Attached: 1556225011067.png (750x744, 486K)

>be piratechad
>can have every game
>don't play anything
fucking a

Playing Persona 5. Can't waif for Royal :^)

Dark Souls Remastered, Thinking of getting Castlevania collection once i beat it

Yes
It’s on sale too

Contemplating on getting Labyrinth of Refrain since I need something to fill the void Etrian Odyssey Nexus left after finishing postgame. Can anyone vouch for it?

Attached: 1553018955637.jpg (438x428, 20K)

Are all Switch versions hackable now? I remember reading a while back the new ones they were rolling out fixed one of the exploits to do it.
Also are there any good RPGs similar to Octopath that aren't straight weebshit?

So between Switch, PS5 and Anaconda which should I get next year?

Have you bought an USB-C Extender for your Dock yet?

Attached: IMG_20190424_170648 (1).jpg (2752x2064, 566K)

What are some games with plot?
even if there jap ony
bonus if brown

Dark souls remastered

the one that'll get NEW games

Tried playing BoTW again but lost my will to play any further after getting the quest to talk to the 4 divine beast guys

I'm playing nothing. Because Nintendo isn't releasing any good games until Fall.

Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokémon S&S, Zelda and Animal Crossing can't come soon enough.

19 year old port, 5 year old port and 8 year old port. I want 14 year old port but it's overpriced.

Agreed

Just picked up BoTW.

GF is balls deep on Stardew Valley.

Reccomend some games, i thinking of Gungeon and Darkest Dungeon next.

I unironically recommend
Moero Chronicles Hyper

Once you become best friends with voice volume 0 and Fast forward though dialogue it’s an 8/10 EO clone though to recruit decent monster girls you have to jerk off either the screen or the control stick.
I like it though I wish it had just the cute girls and a story that doesn’t makes No game no life seem like a masterpiece

just bought Tales of Vesperia 2nd hand for $20 so I'm waiting on that to come

Lol no.
Pretty much every switch post April 2018 is currently unhackable
The last hackable Switch probably belongs to some 12 year girl in Minnesota

what game is that?

Attached: 1555591114098.jpg (434x368, 57K)

...

KurtzPel

currently 25 hours in, overall great game, I hated Disgaea but somehow love this one the mechanics need some more explaining though bt that half the appeal of the game.

Yeah, a lot of fans are reeeeeeeeeee-ing about it. Maybe Capcom will patch it in.

They never even fixed the major issues with the other released like the explosion glitch or 30fps animations, also still in the Switch version. They're just going to dump these games off for thirty bucks and forget they exist.

Agreed. The game is fucking oozing with soul.

Not to mention the added FM chip that allows for the kino soundfonts.

Just finished Celeste. Want to get something new off the sale but there's so many games I want to check out.
>Okami
>MHGU
>RE: Revelations 1
>Shovel Knight
>Horizon Chase Turbo
>Kingdom: Two Crowns/New Lands
>The Messenger
I heard Shovel Knight is never getting discounted ever again so I should pick that one up huh

>I heard Shovel Knight is never getting discounted ever again
I mean it could, but it would be absolutely stupid NOT to get it for $12 considering it's essentially 4 games and it's going up in price once all the DLC is out.

Okami is probably the best game of those, but it has a really slow start
MHGU is the one with the most content, you can easily spend 200h+ and not be done with it

shovel knight is the lowest its ever been on the switch
monhun gets you the most bang for your buck, ridiculous amount of content if you like the gameplay

Different user but I want a physical copy so I'm screwed aha.

Okami

cheers kind anons. nice to have that list narrowed down at least. will prob go with Shovel Knight but we'll see

Seething

>still no Switch version with tate mode
