I'm always torn how to play these older fps games. Do I just do the dos version or play a modern port of it.

The best way is to use a source port, unless you really want that old school no mouselook experience for whatever reason.

Well Blood won't run natively on XP, I think ME is the last OS that could run it natively. Most importantly, get an era accurate case.
