Selling stacks of crystals is pretty much the only way to get gil early. Sucks, I know. Try not to spend it all on spells you dont need early on (Protect and Cure should be good enough for the Dune levelling parties)

Its really hard for first time players on a new character, but it does get better. Try picking up a fishing rod and selling stacks of fish if you have any spare gil.

Is Bard actually that huge? I don't feel that wildly impactful. Maybe it's just that from my perspective I can't really evaluate how much the song buffs actually help or how much of an impact the DoTs are doing when bars are coming down in frantic bits from everyone wailing on them.

After pagos the answer becomes warrior thanks to logos actions, so don't make the red mage weapon

That's not good enough, it's not even per category just total. If it was 200 per weapon/head/chest etc then it would be great but 200 extra total is nothing.

BRD has a lot of buffs that they can hand out to the whole party.
You have song phases which provide a 2% crit buff to the whole party. You can have 100% uptime on this through an entire encounter. Other party buffs are only up for amount of time, usually 10-20 seconds with longer cooldowns of about 2 minutes.
You've then got Foe's Requiem which just flat increases the damage taken by an enemy by 3%.
Then you have Battle Voice which increases your party's Direct Hit rate by 15%.
Then you have a myriad of other buffs that cleanse debuffs, increases healing gained, shields against magic damage or physical damage...

Basically you can do a lot.

123123124 is literally easier and more logical than 111111222. This completely justifies 2 (2) more buttons.
Having to either count your skills used despite simultaneously having to mash to queue the gcd, or stare at your hotbar in addition to your buff bar to make sure the right button was pressed is terrible ux.
It also makes breaking or limiting you combo in niche scenarios either unnecessarily complex or impossible.

It's funny because with a combo system like in XIV's PvP you have to press buttons just as many times as with individual skills!

"Combos" don't make you auto that combo rotation. It just replaces the previous skill with the next, which you have to press again to get to the next in the rotation or reset.

What's the actual difference between your 1-2-3 combo being pressing one button 3 times or 3 buttons 1 time?

Both SCH and AST need to get taken down a notch. Fairy needs to be less automated and AST needs to stop being mandatory due to its huge buffs and being able to do either playstyle.

Removal of tank stances

Just keep Off-Guard on him, use Peculiar Light when it's off cooldown, stop him casting Obliterate with Flying Sardine and spam Water Cannon while avoiding all his casts. It's super easy to manage.

Nearly all JP tanks in savage/ex stay in tank stance. They're rather get a safe and clean clear than pad parses.

Tanks will literally always be pressured into doing more damage no matter the game, WoW included. The fact that killing a boss faster is the most effective clear strategy will always result in this. If a boss forces you to do mechanics before you damage him then we'll probably see more stuff like that.

MNK is an exception to the rule, at ARR launch it was known to have this gimmick of flexible rotation. I don't mind MNK pvp style but melee in pvp isn't fun against constantly moving targets. I like the form shift version from pvp though.

Have you never played Aion? In pic related, say you pressed fast blade, the 2 combo it can either become show up on the screen and then you press 1 or 2 for which combo you want. Why do you need a 3rd button, there is only one starter to all those combo paths.
