not outclassed for a long time

might be actual bis for ret paladins as all the ret paladins i've seen are focused on heavy +spell damage with procs like shadow oil, sulfuras fireball etc

looked good on paladin with judgement armor, but ret paladins were unplayable so the entire point of this weapon was just meme

should have qualified that as "good ret paladins i've seen" of which there are very precious few

There's no one to really use it. Fury will be dual-wielding by that point, and no one's dumb enough to bring a ret to a raid.

Mostly just a meme, just like Thunderfury.

Thunder fury was good at generating threat though. Had to nerfd it in bc because it was that good

>Thunderfury.
Isn't that one the best in slot weapon for rogues and fury warriors until like AQ40? Isn't it also the best tanking weapon for threat? I don't play on shitty private servers and vanilla has been like 15 years ago, so maybe my memory is fuzzy.

Thunderfury was god tier desu
Even hunters wanted it

Nah man haven't you seen the video of the ret in full bis naxx40 gear doing less damage than a warrior? Ret confirmed viable on all patches and tiers.
Also, haven't you seen my shockadin pvp montage from 2005

Hunters wanted everything. Spell damage dagger? Hunter weapon. A 2h mace with str? Hunter weapon.

>best tanking weapon for threat
Was there something special about it that generated threat or was it just because of high spike damage from the proc?
I don't recall ever seeing a tank with one but I was pretty casual back then.

Its proc is aoe so it made the inital tabbing sunders part of a group pull less scary.

youtu.be/ja1j7xWpB3w

you didnt forget me, did you user?

Attached: 006.jpg (354x286, 15K)

Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker] ?

What about me user?
youtube.com/watch?v=WwpsE9fx324

The proc gives massive amounts of threat, and it's also a very fast weapon. Only one weapon compares to it as a tanking weapon and that's the one sword from naxx that gives +6 swords and has like 20 more dps. Considering you can get TF as soon as BWL opens up, it's a powerful sword for a long long time. Just gotta get lucky.

Attached: 2h5ob3s.jpg (1024x768, 634K)

After all these years it still looks so ridiculous as a one-handed weapon. Even by post-WotLK standards.

Thuderfury was so good it was used in Black Temple for tanks

Based enhancement chad

Hunters wanted a legendary melee weapon that took guilds months to farm and was BiS for rogues and warrirors in pve and pvp. Soley on the offchance it would proc when they tried to wingclip a warrior off them in pvp.

And people wonder why they were called huntards.

99% of legendaries are going to girl gamer streamers

>hunter with a thunderfury
I wonder how much hate he attracts. I mean I probably couldn't resist calling him out on it if he got invited in my group or some shit.

Dude TF was so good tanking threat weapon they had to nerf it in TBC because warriors kept tanking lvl 70 raids with it.

A shame, they used to go to the MT GM that let his online GF raid as feral and gave them prio on gear.

They really hate that shit, it's a sign of good itemisation that level 70's wanted to use some level 60 gear
Legendary weapons especially should not be replaced so easily

*i really hate that shit

It was fantastic for Ret & Enh. Warriors didn't care very much for it because Mace Spec was subpar.

It was the best in slot prot warrior weapon until it was nerfed in fucking Black Temple

It was BiS for tanks too they nerfed it in SSC/TK. Hell, Naxx gear was still better than most Kara drops.

Nigga I was a fucking Druid but still wanted Sulfuras
It's a status thing

This was the video that got me into trying enhancement shaman back in vanilla and loving it. Mained Enh Shaman on retail until Cataclysm killed my addiction.

What class was getting priority for Atiesh?

Its a sign that aoe threat gen sucked ass in vanilla and TBC and Thunderfury allowed for GOGOGO aoe pulls where people could just cut loose for trash or in 5mans.

>B...but GOGOGO AOE pulls are exclusive to wrath people in vanilla and TBC wanted to be slow
No nost boys WoW was always about sacrificing fun for efficiency at the top end (eg the players who had thunderfury).

whoever could wield it

who the fuck wants to play horde
literal mudhut niggers eating KFC in their designated nigger KFC huts in the middle of every zone (complete with every vendor, more quests then alliance and FP ofc oh and sometimes there is even a zeppelin or free transport thrown in) while chimping on anything that moves in numbers only despite rolling for pvp racials but never actually 1v1ing to use them
then porting into their literal mudhut nigger KFC city called "orgrimmar" more like ogreshit lol blizzard literally took some somalian shithole town and copy pasted it into wow to give that authentic nigger feel to the faction le monster races br0 check out these NO SHOES so whacky better name myself something fucking retarded like boogerbones to fit in btw get owned kid totally bg queued out of that 1v1 close one
you want a sick capital city to afk in br0? take your pick :

- some fucking retarded canyon thing where you fall off and die
- literal nigger kfc somali city

FUCK YOU HORDE NIGGERS

Wasn't there a level 60 healer trinket that was being used up to BT?

Nope, it went to the GM's best friend MT, who was actually a cool guy everyone loved. GM's girlfriend was either a priest who the class leader just assumed wasn't even there in regards to raid healing. Or a mage who had absolute priority on any bis, while hovering just slightly above the cool dude MT on meters. Or yeah, a feral cat who hovered just below MT, while stealing rogue and fury bis. Those were the days.

Whoever the guild likes the most, if you can get Atiesh it doesn't matter who gets it

your tiny little human boy tears are delicious. we’re going to burn down stormwind and rape all your women and there is NOTHING you can do about it

Naxx (or was it AQ40?) had one of the best raw Spellpower trinkets period until Wrath

It's basically a top tier pvp weapon for rets and enh. Slightly less so for arms. It would basically go to pala or shaman class leader to show off guild prestige in BG's.

Druid is probably the best choice cause mp5 aura but it honestly doesn't matter since if you can get Atiesh it means you managed to beat KT

The GM's girlfriend who played Preist & healed

it's got agi!

I'd rather play on the no shoes faction than the tranny faction

2h weapons are for 2 shotting players in pvp and it was pretty good at that.

1. Girls
2. Class leader
3. Everyone else

yeah, the darkmoon card one

It's BiS for Ret and Enh for a long long long time cause of the fireball proc

We know better than to give Thunderfury to a Rogue now...right?

>not vurtne
>not zalgadis
>not hunter vs world

Honestly if you actually grindded Naxx enough to have an Aetish your guild didn't really need it anymore, everyone would already be armed to the teeth
To be fair Rets were actually pretty good in Naxx itself due to everything being undead.

no

Legend has it the very first completed Thunderfury went to a Hunter, mostly because no one else in the guild really knew what to do with it.

Fucking retardedly good for certain specs on certain classes. The only other weapon which came remotely close but in a different way was Thunderfury for tanks.

Most based thing about Classic will be the guild drama over who gets Thunderfury & Sulfuras

You just know greedy GM's who play a melee dps or worse Hunter, won't be able to help themselves if one of the bindings drop

>Implying I haven't saved months of DKP just for the chance to bid on it, ignoring all set gear

I mean if every tank has one and you are still doing MC for some reason it is pretty godly for Combat

I believe it was something like druid>priest>lock>mage one for each, but statistically, it was very unlikely you'd get all 4 before tbc launch.

Shamans/Pallies should get Sulfuras cause there's like 3 better 2Hs for everyone else in the same instance.
Unless no one cares then just give it to whoever has enough autism to get the materials together to build it the fastest.

Think they'll let someone loot one of these just for fun?

Attached: 300px-Talismanofbindingshard[1].jpg (300x359, 22K)

>ret paladins
lmao

The last time I had a good guild shitstorm was in wrath after killing Malygos and the drake dropped then the guild officers decided to change the rules so only officers had a chance for it because they are the most loyal to the guild and the officer that got it left the guild less than an hour later. All guild drama is going to revolve around the guild streamer now.

Actually yeah, Exo was guaranteed to crit on anything inside so their DPS (when combined with the buffs they bring) was actually pretty solid in Naxx.

Still you would bring like, maybe 2 Rets out of 40 players so it's not like they were the new Warriors or anything.

no

We gave the 1 hammer we got to the paladin class leader to fuck around with on his ret offspec.

It was indeed good, but not really relative to the effort/cost to obtain in. It's the best two handed out of MC for every class that wants one, but it's a mace, so warriors can easily get better weapons as soon as BWL opens up, and realistically those are going to become available before Sulfuras is even crafted.
Paladins and Shamans get the most value out of it, but almost exclusively for pvp shenanigans. The biggest thing "holding it back" from being a competitive weapon has always been its absurd cost and the RNG required.

They should add it in the game proper, super rare drop from C'thun with a big quest chain, or something

I'd argue that the 2H with the extra armor break proc that Rag also drops is better for Warriors

hunter wep

No reason to ever take a ret pala over a holy one. They bring the same buffs, but the holy pala is actually good at their job.

I wish the game had more rare ass legendaries or special quests like the Hunter bow or Benediction. They never really did anything like those again.

Absolute shitcunts. Fuck Hunters who do that shit, and fuck rogues too. They’re total cunts when it comes to rolling need on shit they’re never going to use.

I haven’t played WoW since 2005, but fuck me does this still make me furious.

We are talking about inside of Naxx. Anywhere else and yeah.

Are you ready to gear up 8 prot warriors?

Attached: four horsemen.jpg (1249x768, 235K)

What does a ret bring that couldn't be done better by someone else?

sorry bro, need for mend pet set

Wasn't the Corrupted Ashbringer suppose to have a questline? I thought it was suppose to have more than just that scripted event in SM.

Will i be forced to summon all the lazy fucks to raids and make a million healthstones to everyone as lock? Kind of want to try it out, but can't be bothered to do this shit.

Thunderfury was unironically one of the best weapons in the game. They had to nerf the proc in TBC iirc because it was so powerful

it was teased you'd get to purify it in TBC, but nothing ever came out of it. So no, you just get the scripted event.

Tbh if they aren't halfway geared from excess tank drops by then then they got carried hard

Your entire inventory is going to be filled with soulshards. If you wipe to much you have to leave to go get more.

Yes, Darion Mograine was suppose to be in Outland & cleanse it for you
But TBC had a ton of quest chains cut out of the game, so they just kinda moved it to Wrath

Sanctity aura for the priests to maximize their Smite DPS.

yes, but hopefully you're not the only lock in a 40 man raid. I remember farming for soulshards before every raid, you better have at least 50 of them before you start.

It was. Originally it was supposed to have a quest line to purify it into a legendary Ashbringer but this was scrapped before Naxx was released, some things remained in the game such as the SM event and the legendary item in the gamefiles

Eh, guess ill stick to priest or pally.

They actually added the questline in legion to unlock the corrupted ashbringer appearance. Before it was just a bunch of unfinished remnants.

Attached: corrupted ashbringer quest.jpg (1050x784, 307K)

any good raid wont make you summon anyone but latecomers, but yeah get ready to make a billion healtstones

They kind of tried to do the special quests with Mage Tower and secret artifact skins.
But they didn't tailor Mage tower enough and the power creep at the end of Legion made everything but the healer one a joke if you had normal antoris gear.
90% of the skins weren't even as good as the skins you could get from other sources.

You're delusional if you think trannies don't play undead female kek

Legion had some real passion put into it, i dunno what the fuck happened with BFA

I quit for good in Legion but I've always wondered, can you get any artifact appearances anymore? I know the Mage Tower ones went away or something which I honestly think is bullshit but whatever

it was pretty neat how in Legion the quest line to get Corrupted Ashbringer 2.0 was basically doing this.

>Exo was guaranteed to crit on anything inside
I fucking hate newfags.

Every single artifact appearance is still obtainable in one way or another aside from the Mage Tower ones.

the healer one was a joke for Paladins the moment you had good ToS gear

They really fucked ret by changing the 31 point talent from blessing of kings to repentance.

>basically doing this
you do realize that the picture is wowhead guide to the quest right?

that passionate Legion team got pulled to Classic or mobile

Reminder that Kungen used Thunderfury on the Illidan world first.

Unironically they put so much work into each class being unique they burned themselves out of putting that much effort into stuff again.

Eh, even before that we just had 1 of hour healer palas sacrifice some raw healing power to get it.

>Classic+ can add the Ashbringer quest chain back into the game

Attached: 1529835007820.png (201x208, 96K)

well now I do thanks asshole

Private server I was on had a boomkin with it

They also completely abandoned wod to work on legion early so it had way more time. WoD was the expansion with a single content patch.

I loved the Benediction event. You get a quest to actually be a Priest and save people fleeing from Stratholme. It actually lasted quite a while; I think the first major upgrade was the C'Thun mace with an AQ off hand.

windfury shamans could one shot you with a grey level 1 weapon if they luck out on procs proccing off procs.

>he believes in the classic+ meme
sure they will also add Crusader Strike to Ret and make Boomkin actually able to cast spells without going OOM and give every other tank a taunt too right

Exorcism has not guaranteed critical strike in Classic, it is instant cast holy damage which can only be used on Undead or Demon targets.

Said content patch was just stuff they cut from release.

except its god tier for warrior tanks above even ironfoe

Sulfuras + Hand of Justice is some horrifying shit to see running at you in a BG

It barely scales with spell damage on private servers and was same on vanilla i think while ashbringer (and all other lifesteal procs) scale 100%

you do realise he relied purely on skill(well engineering skills and the pet) instead of gear.
Up until like the 4th video his gear is so fucking garbage that its insane he manages to kill anyone at all

Ion already said he is very interested in new content & likes what OSRS did

>Spend weeks grinding for sulfuras
>In the end dual wield sulfuras + Sulfuron Hammer
>Fucking a man
>After a month, need more room for another alt
>Delete a "worthless" warrior
>"I wonder where my gold and hammers are, oh"

Attached: e003716e.jpg (900x600, 82K)

>Half the priests in my guild couldn't do the event
>Me and another priest ended up doing the quest for most of them
Vanilla must have been insanely easy for us to be able to progress with these kind of people in our guild.

Yeah pretty much, the only arguably better option was some high Mp5 mainhand and the offhand from getting Exalted with the Frostwolves.

Thunderfury posting is a meme, the weapon itself is actually amazing.

The thing with the Benediction quest is Holy Nova makes it a joke but it's also literally the only time you should spec into Holy Nova

Doesn't take much skill to kill keyboard turning clickers.

Isn't there an arguably better strat where you rotate 6 warriors around the room? I only ever saw Anub and Razivous on the last few weeks before tbc. Nobody cared to farm huhu NR gear when the expo was around the corner. Can't wait for Classic to actually try Ctun and Naxx first hand.

The only better option before C'thun*

It is worth having a high Int set with Benediction and a high Mp5 set with another weapon depending on the length of a fight and how much you can stay in the 5 second rule

I would be really interested in potential Hyjal content if Classic+ or something like that were to become reality. They really just have to put in quests and NPC's and design a raid, because the zone is already complete. There is even a raid instance portal there.

Did someone say "Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker"?

Uh I've seen this fight done by a couple prot, bears, and a prot pally, very overblown meme fight.

As far as i remember the main problem people had with it, was typically enough the dispelling the disease part.

ctun is really something else
aq is fucking garbage beside the opening boss and ctun

READY

Attached: maxresdefault[1].jpg (1280x720, 124K)

It was actually all new stuff because they completely remade the storyline last minute. Archimonde and demons were supposed to be in the Shattrath raid that was cut and the final raid was supposed to be against the warlords with Grom as the final boss. The first real sign of the shift was in the beta when you killed Kargath he escaped and just left his fist behind but in the final release he died.

I really do hope they take a OSRS approach if this is successful, I'd love to see planned but never completed vanilla shit added into the game.
They could keep "pristine" servers for the people who don't want new shit too

Yeah, Holy Nova can brute force that to an extent while you kill the skeletons at the same time. Then you have all the time in the world to Abolish Disease.
Its a lot like the Master First Aid quest where you have to do triage and prioritize the right npcs.

Does tooltips damage/healing update according to stats or did they keep the old system?

Have they said anything about Corrupted Blood plague ?

Attached: Hakkar2[1].jpg (757x681, 456K)

They're debating whether or not to bring back the glitch, we'll know by the time ZG is out and if some fucker does it

>They could keep "pristine" servers for the people who don't want new shit too
That would probably be the best solution.
Let people transfer to a classic+ server if they want to, and maybe merge some of the old servers if necessary

Cata got Hyjal so fucking wrong, a big thing for Hyjal should be the moment you finally climb up to the World Tree & see Archimonde's corpse hanging there, which the Night Elves would NEVER EVER remove because they had a prideful side to them & would keep it there as a monument of resilience to all who oppose them by hanging Sargeras's general on the rooftop of the world, which ever artist put it there is a fucking genius & understood the game

Not to mention how dumb Deathwing teaming up with Ragnaros was, Ragnaros was at war with Deathwing's fucking son, lol lore

They are thinking about it,
on one had its the biggest meme in wow history,
On the other it is pretty much a "Don't log in for the next week" event.

How do you actually become truly good at a class? Like world-class-raider-good?
I've been playing the same class for ~10 years and while I am (Or were, when I subbed) better than the average shitter, I always felt like I had plateaued. What sets the 1% apart from the 10%?

Positioning.
Stop moving.

gratz, that was all.

>see Archimonde's corpse hanging there, which the Night Elves would NEVER EVER remove
Dude, what fucking corpse?
youtu.be/rUiHdf5sOsk?t=71

Nothing can ever do it the same way that OSRS does it because OSRS is a game without a linear progression. You can do the raids they added but it's not treated as the ultimate goal of the game it's just another branch.

consumables tbbqh

Attached: nPkTJ[1].jpg (1280x1024, 248K)

You are retarded, son.

They said they're considering bringing that back as well.

As others have said, it was BiS until half the next expansion.

Tanaan wasn't suppose to have a felfire design either, it was suppose to be overgrown that the orcs had to retreat from there

I really hope they open Hyjal up for exploration. They don't need to put anything there so as not to mess the balance of the game, but just have it open as a place to hang out it.

Best thing about classic wow success.

Chance we might get TBC servers.

I would hope that if Blizzard decides to start adding new content to vanilla they don't just add new raid tiers in a linear fashion, but rather new dungeons or world zones (even raids) that weave between all the existing content, like Dire Maul for example. Some of it shouldn't even necessarily be max level, like Maraudon.

Hard pass on 2.4.3 TBC, BFA is legit better

clips.twitch.tv/TawdryHardTitanUnSane

Towellie getting Ricardo'd

Attached: boomer alliance.jpg (234x215, 9K)

It's not just that, I remember bosses being affected by the AS slow, which can be huge.

They could pretty easily add more raids around BWL/AQ40/Naxx difficulty without surpassing them
Like raiding starts with Ony/MC/ZG/AQ20 all around the same difficulty but then funnels you into BWL -> AQ40 -> Naxx with no other options

I can't imagine why unless the proc happens often and off of yellow attacks.

make sure it's shadowbolt you're pressing

the thing is with Vanilla's itemisation & no catch up gear, even if they release Karazhan as a 40 man with Tier 4, it won't replace Naxx & or even AQ40 because you tended to farm old raids to hunt for some good drops & catch up gear since with 40 people & low drops there was always gonna be some undergeared people

Of course they could utterly fuck it up & make Kara drop super optimised gear with perfect stats for every role & spec, also make bosses like like 10 pieces

>make Kara drop super optimised gear with perfect stats for every role & spec, also make bosses like like 10 pieces
yeah that would be retarded, what they should do is just have it drop T3 similar gear, no new set pieces just good items with similar stats (not as good as KT weapons though)

*drop like 10 pieces

I just think having more T2/T3 raids would be good.
I'm not opposed to T4 eventually to actually get some use out of Naxx gear but I don't think they should rev up the gear treadmil right away. Overall I hope they would do new zones first and honestly give professions some attention because even throughout retail they were fucked in one way or another.

>most of the guild would still farm Mara before Naxx runs because half of them needed more Nature resist gear in vanilla
It really was a magic time.

That's actually a thing I'd like to see more of, resist actually mattering more
Maybe not to the point where you need full 200 resist sets for specific fights but armor having some extra resist that makes sense slapped on it would've been nice.

I agree, they really need to be careful when they add Tier 4 eventually, they also need to ignore the retards who want Tier 4 to be more "optimised" because that leads to boring itemisation & most importantly, makes only the current raid viable, it's such bad game design

Unique gear sets that offer spells on set completion. Like a palte set that gives paladins smite and boots that give priests concecration. Kinda like how diablo 2 had items that gave skills. That way you can have more diverse builds.

Good Druid weapon

It's going to be weird at launch because everyone knows what gear they will need months before the content is released.

>Ion said
I swear to fucking god this weasel wants to destroy everything that's left of this franchise.
They want to add more content to classic post-release? Good. But bring someone that understands MMOs not this hack that just wants to make a soulless Diablo-clone but in third person.

Attached: 1533080286170.jpg (586x575, 49K)

I don't want T4 because i think most players won't be able to get T3 anyway. If T3 is the "best" item set that's ok, completing it takes a ton of effort anyway and if they added more 40-man content with the same gear level as MC, i am sure people would run that a lot and find item upgrades.

Fuck me that's a good idea, instead of dumbing down items like in TBC, add new shit, kinda like how Vanilla kinda introduced armor pen later on

Blizzard used that as an excuse/reason to not have progressive itemization in classic, because some people would farm 4 sets of pants and just have them in the bank waiting until they got buffed and were bis for one particular patch, since everyone knew beforehand exactly which items were going to have which stats eventually

I can see their reasoning, even though I think it'll have a major impact on the game

In vanilla, using consumables and having your raid support your class
if you’re talking about retail, it’s about practicing the fight so you know it inside out and researching what better players do with warcraftlogs. I remember in WoD we were progressing on mythic blackhand, took 340 attempts. At the start, we needed bloodlust just to get to phase 2, but by the end we were able to consistently beat phase 1 without lust. There was no change in gear, everyone was just so intimately familiar with every step of that phase that they were able to squeeze out optimal dps

Most people won't, i doubt even most streamers do, because they didn't actually play Vanilla

>20 frost resist but no strength? this item is shit mcconnel, in the fucking trash it goes
>6 months later
>Saph requires how much frost resist?

Engineering ended up being where they dumped most of the items that gave skills.

Engineering will be the first thing they nerf in Classic+, 100%

They already did by 1.12, Shadow Reflector used to work on a lot of boss mechanics

the construction board was a bigger wtf moment than archimonde.

My guild had 3 locks and we'd each have to spec different points into improved healthstone cause itd create 3 different items

40 man Kara ould be cramped as hell, good luck not blowing up the raid on Aran with 40 retards

Classic is just about playing. You'll learn

would you shut the fuck up about your pretend friends already
nobody cares

Tunderfury > Alcors > Ironfoe as far as tanking weapons go.

This is why I'll pay for a sub till they come

>played hunter as a kid in vanilla
>played hunter as an adult on nostalrius
>probably going to play hunter again on classic
how do i break this cycle
i want to play a different class for once but theyre all either shit or overplayed

youtube.com/watch?v=SX-9kA8hQUk
recycle vanilla kara

Kek

>They're all either shit or overplayed
But Hunter is both of those

Play priest

>no one's dumb enough to bring a ret to a raid
Not taking a couple for the best tank healer and blessings is probably one of the bigger fuckups you could make when raiding.

i was making fun of asmonbald, but all right

>tank healer
>ret
if he’s healing, he’s not hitting the enemy with sulfuras, hand of ragnaros, is he?

How exactly does putting points into increasing your melee damage make you a better healer? And the blessings are all first tier and easily taken by a holy pala.

>not multitasking
Improve.

Wasn't the first ever Thunderfury binding given to a Warlock?

Either way, every time I saw a Hunter w/ TF back in classic (there were 2 on Laughing Skull), it made my soul hurt. I'd hate to be tanking in a group with that hunter.

A priest would do more dps by afk wanding a boss than you are going to do trying to dps in healing gear.

>he thinks you can auto attack and cast spells at the same time

Would make for an excellent ZG opener event desu.

oh, that’s all it takes then! i’ll just “improve” so that my character breaks the game mechanics and can auto attack while simultaneously casting holy light! thank you for your sage wisdom, retard

Bindings are class restricted to Warriors, Paladins, Rogues and Hunters.

No I'm playing priest so nobody else can.

>femdead
Avoidable
>entire faction
Unavoidable.

I'd rather have a resto druid DPS in cat form or a smite priest than a retadin

Them bringing back the Blood Plague would slightly redeem them for cancelling the Wrath zombie plague early; But only slightly.

God that wrath event was amazing

WE DONT KNOW.
If we are talking private servers, they were useful for arms warrior (for pvp) and ret paladins (both pvp and pve)
But so many values are gonna be different, so maybe it will turn out that its gonna be shit.

I don't understand the hype about Vanilla.. Half the fucking specs were useless. Why the fuck would spend time on this garbage?

Attached: 1468317079317.jpg (841x841, 102K)

Every spec had a use for something
Usually the ones that aren't good for raiding still work in dungeons or PVP or for farming

This, except balance druids. They're fucked no matter what.

Except for Ret
You took that shit for Pursuit of Justice and socom then ignore the rest of that shit tree like the plague

Good, fuck Druids, they have been OP since Wrath

Too bad ret paladins were completely fucking shit in Vanilla

Ret used to have Blessing of Kings near the end of their tree iirc but that changed before 1.12

Even so, we just had one of our healing paladins be a bit worse at healing in order to get it. Still better than wasting a slot on ret "dps"

30 balance 21 resto is actually pretty good in organised pvp. Some could say superior to 31 resto. There is no excuse for taking actual oomkin talent tho.

>since wrath
Since TBC if we;re talking arena. Every arena comp in TBC had a druid in it.

Hell Holy Priest's capstone usually isn't taken either since you shouldn't be planning on dying in the first place. No one bothered with it until they tacked a permanent +5% spirit onto it, that's a good deal for 1 point invested.

This. People are too stuck in the retail mindset of "raiding is the only thing that matters" when that wasn't true in vanilla.

It was true for me, but I guess it's true most of you fucking carebear shitters never made it past Razorgore.

>+3 Agility
>+5 Stamina

Get over yourself fag, its hunter weapon.

It was quite solid, yeah. You got better stuff in Naxx, tho.

No what I mean is there's other things to do in vanilla. Some people just do nothing but wpvp, some never leave AB if they can help it, and some just like leveling characters.

What else was there to do in endgame besides raiding? Farm gold for raiding and pvp?

>endgame is the entire point
It's not, otherwise it wouldn't take so long to reach 60 in the first place. If all you care about is the endgame then go play TBC onwards.

are there any cool important drops to look forward to as a warlock?
i dont think atiesh is really on the cards is it

t. wrathbabby

I can't spend all my time leveling. At some point i am going to reach max level. Should i just delete my character and do the exact same thing again?

No, when you reach 60 you go kill everyone 40 levels below you. Everyone knows that.

TUF was better and far easier to obtain.

t. hunter

What are you even trying to imply here, it's the fucking truth retail zoomer.

>Survival hunter
>Lacerate

yeah sure you're not actually shitting the place up with your eceleb gossip, you only watch them "ironically"!
step off a chair you waste of oxygen

yeah like engineering but then not for a profession. Its kinda stupid how engineering is useless to sell (everything requires the engineering skill) while it also gives you the most extras. Shit like the charge helm or net projector are insanely handy and allow you to do shit normally not possible.

So that is something they can input in the game with more item sets or special items. If they make new dungeons, what loot do you put in them? Stronger shit just makes the gear treadmill take longer, weaker shit nobody wants. So make more diverse stuff. gauntlets that allow you to freeze someone in place for a few seconds on weapon hit. Stuff that charges on healing that makes the next offensive spell stronger. Gear that makes certain hybrid specs more useful (like enchantment+elemental).
Make gear that allows you to make a holy damage dealer priest, make a bow for rogues that can do a finishing move using combo points. Or make a unique hunter weapon that generates combo points with ranged attacks that can make raptor strike do finisher move damage. Or a set that makes the pet generate combo points and hunter attacks be finishers.
Or how about the warlock hellfire spell, would be pretty cool if it was on a more tanky guy. Give it to a paladin set where the paladin burns himself up for massive holy damage and threat.

If the item is too strong make it give less raw stats, making it a tradeoff. If its still too strong make it a set effect. Forcing someone to take multiple gear pieces to get it. Or put it on cloth so a plate wearer has to sacrifice armor for the effect. Also you can add class restrictions.
im sure this will give the game a lot of longevity as it allows you for more options.

they werent before lil zoom

Such a cool item, shame the drop chance is low as fuck

>Its kinda stupid how engineering is useless to sell (everything requires the engineering skill) while it also gives you the most extras
That was the point, it wasn't a money maker like the other profs but you got a ton of perks for taking it.

you get the best item in the game, spellstone

>tier 4

You do know it will even the cutting edge no lifers months to get to T1 never mind vanilla naxx. Id guess even the great majority of rabid classic players will not have the time nor the commitment to complete the gear grind required to be able to get to T3 let alone get fully naxx geared

yeah but for any minmax its obviously the best.

you made my balls tingle, thanks

call 911

Is a naxx geared paladin the best babysitter for pvp or other classes pull ahead?

This, there is no catchup mechanics, bosses might be simpler but also are more gear dependent and players also have less panic buttons.

Is there any reason to take Leather Working as a druid or is anything worth having just BoE? I'll probs have skinning to level with regardless

>misses out one word that is fairly obvious in context
>must be having a stroke

not necessarily, if you rolled a more practical profession like alchemy or enchanting you would get a direct performance boost which you could use for yourself, share with a group, or sell. engineering gave you a lot of situational gadgets which aren't profitable and mainly only benefit you, even group focused ones like the defib were situational.

God I cant wait for old AV some of my best memories of wow were the huge grinds and the eventual sweet victory...

You could be the one guy on the server dumb enough to go Elemental LW
Living Shoulders are always in demand and they make some nice feral tank gear

I don't think Leatherworking gets fucked over on set bonuses that require the skill like Tailoring does

pals self-peel, they're GOAT duo support forever

you can make cured rugged hide every 3 days
also nice to have at least 1 LW in guild, they can make some bis pieces

Just cause you're shit at it doesn't mean that others are.

depends. as dmg cloth wearer its a must to have tailoring by ZG phase. seeing as the set is BiS till late aq40.

Not only are UD fems the biggest trannybait of them all, come TBC your faction will have literally ALL of the trannies because of Blood elves.

Just because you won a duel by using lay on hands doesn't mean ret paladins are of any use in pvp

Pretty much. Shaman might do more dmg with a well placed WF totem for his Warrior but Paladin will keep him alive better and provide vastly superior cc reduction and debuff removal.

Forgot to add that just because naxx is full of undead doesn't make rets viable overall.

Truefaith Vestments are BiS for Priests and probably most other healers until your T2 chestpieces

stay blasted, wrathbab

>and probably most other healers
Disregard that bit I forgot it was Priest only

Lol, all that matters in PVP is initiative. By in large, if you engage first, you win.

I'll make it my mission to be allowed not to wear it as my other professions would be too important.

It's not overplayed at all actually, warrior rogue and mage are overplayed. And it's not shit, it's a required class for raids and fairly good DPS for quite a while, only falling off in AQ and naxx, they also hit hard as fuck in PvP.

Vanilla will have a lot of Warriors but they pretty much can't be overplayed since you need what like 6 per raid minimum for Garr in MC and 4Horsemen in Naxx and they do good DPS besides that, on top of being the only viable tanks beyond dungeons in general.

Have fun never getting invited for anything unless you wear a dress bubbleboy

They also hit hard as fuck in loot rolls.

>yfw they make this drop again but only the first person across all servers that actually gets it to drop can have it and its forever removed from the loot table after they get it

Attached: file.png (225x285, 79K)

>viable meme.
My guild had 8 fucking hunters and we cleared half of naxx. Lol

Most of them refuse to tank and only want to be DPS though.
I don't miss that, but atleast I'm playing casters this time around so I don't have to deal with them

Just cause you sold out doesn't mean that everyone else does.

That's not THAT hard. Razuvious, and Patchwerk are ass easy. As is...that elemental, I don't remember what he's called.

reminder that if we go strictly on lore, very few weapons (Gorribal maybe the only one?) beat Frostmourne, but yeah, the best expansion in lore and atmosphere had to kill the villain to proceed so they did an asspull.

Attached: Frostmourne_WoW.jpg (1680x1050, 150K)

Loatheb?

spider wing and some bosses here and there and its easy as fuck. its the 4 horsemen, sapphiron and kt that are really hard

>I don't miss that, but atleast I'm playing casters this time around so I don't have to deal with them
So you think. Enjoy competing your int stam staff with hunters.

That's the one.

I only really found Gluth, 4HM, Thaddius, and the guy who makes you dance to be challenging.

WoW raids are awful to begin with, I played both games EXTENSIVELY and loved both, so you idiots can't call me a cocksucker of jagex or something. Runescape raids have unironically the better philosophy. Everyone is a tank/dps/healer, everyone must have survival methods. bosses are eratic and irrational like real combatants. It's far more immersive than a boss wailing on one guy all the time and ignoring the healslut

Attached: barrowsdye.png (1920x1080, 2.38M)

Dude what the fuck is going on in that picture. What game is that?

They can have it. Poor melee have it so much fucking worse, I used to play rogue and warrior back in vanilla.

Well hey, their raid tokens were easier to collect.

It didn't work for Feral Druids so it was absolute fuckin trash

i meant the bloodvine set but truefaith is one of those examples also.

>Unironically playing RS3
Jesus christ

Shut up and just rebuff motw already lmao, it's the only reason we bring your ass into the raid

Attached: 1540140392918.jpg (525x720, 315K)

Yeah it's nuts for warrior because highest dmg per hit weapon before naxx.

>Twitch desktop app
>RS3
>Internet explorer
>Skype
>Windows media player?
My brain fucking hurts.

nobody else in his guild probably needed it

Runescape 3, I'm a RS2 vet (yes, people will whine over RS3) and it's looting ALOT of moolah.

I got irl moolah too and actually can buy a CPU and RAM.

>I got irl moolah too and actually can buy a CPU and RAM.
yeah, that's not what he meant...

Attached: 1551273158994.jpg (600x450, 97K)

>Shark sprite still the exact same as in OSRS
RS3 is such a strange game to look at. It's weird and unfamiliar, but then sometimes you see something you recognize and it's like
Huh.
