I played through it again only a few months back and got the platinum on PS3, that was probably my 4th or 5th playthrough gonna do it again on PS4 sometime soon

Original PC launch is still the best version ever thanks to the official HD texture pack.

man, how did they fuck up the remaster? the original looked great with the HD pack, all they had to do was maybe smooth is a bit and optimize the frame rate. remaster looks horrible, especially the city at night.

Do you even need to drop the knife? I thought you could still do the dim mak with a melee weapon equipped

One thing I'll say is that it's bullshit to give you accuracy percentages in the statistics while making aiming RPG-esque "the shot goes in the general direction of the reticule but never dead on".

I never had a problem with the accuracy honestly. I just kept abusing the bullet time cover slides (and absurd duration of the post-slide slowdown) for free up-close headshots

I didn't like the game tallying cop points during missions that make collateral damage near impossible

i could never counter while holding melee weapon, maybe im retarded though

From what I remember the standard counter when holding a melee weapon is just a dodge, but the special counter you get for all jade statues (have to press Y+B to perform it) works even with weapons

im pretty sure you can, been a long time though

They problem came from them trying to make a console versio that could match the PC version and it was just not possible. Then they got rid of the HD PC version and swapped it for the gimped remastered version.

yeah this is how i remember it, i'd try and counter but i just dodge and get hit by another knife guy.

it did take me 30 tries maybe, I was running around throwing knives at people, they got stuck at the boxes etc

the guns were bad but the kungfu was rad.
