She is not autistically obsessed like Amy, or a character who is popular just for the porn like Rouge. Her appeal doesn't rely on her design.

She has this appeal as a blooming flower of a character, one starting to overcome her distance and coldness to people around her.

She was playable in a solid game, and her route was as fun as Sonics.
Rouge doesn't have that.
Amy only has that in Advanced and hacks.

I guess the general complaint is, whenever Silver and Blaze are together they assume that role where Blaze helps Silver to be a little bit less shat on and a little bit less disrespected.

SEGA listed Sonic in one of their reports as coming from America and SoA has been collecting some staff as part of their "Sonic Pillar"

I've seen it thrown around that Sonic Team are working on the new Sakura Wars game, but this is untrue as Nakamura has confirmed the VC team is still working on that. There's a new IP supposedly in the works, but there's zero info about it and who is working on it.

So basically, we're still pretty much in the dark in regards to who is working on what right now and the future roles of Sonic Team and Sonic Pillar, but a new Sonic game is still confirmed to be in development.

Sonic Boom would have been a shitty game regardless of the switch to Wii U. From a game design perspective, it is so clear that the developers didnt know how to actually make a sonic game work and instead shoved in as many mechanics as possible, with none of them fleshed out in order to make them fun. "Puzzles" consist of walking on squares and pressing buttons, "Fighting" gives you only one combo to use, and "Running" is a laggy and terrible temple run clone.
