For me, it's Lunar mode.
For me, it's Lunar mode
Jupiter was barely a quarter as fleshed out as lunar, being able to fall faster was honestly more useful than the slide.
I only use Jupiter for the faster falling and charged gravity kick. The slap-slap attack animation is awkward as hell, and it bothers me that it doesn't change your running/idle animation like Lunar.
your shit game flopped and the characters look like they are caked with makeup
I really like lunar style too, simply for the fact that doesn't turn Kat's whole body into that black void and veins system texture that is no good for getting good panty shots or screenshots in general while in air
That outfit is dumb.
For the GR lorefags. The worldbuilding and lore of Gravity Rush is HEAVILY inspired by Hinduism, Taoism and Buddhism btw.
The creation story is the same as in Chinese mythology. Gade, Cyanea and Bit are the triple-deity that created the world, like Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. There are many, many similarities. The iconography is everywhere too, from the swans, to the giant fish, the egg at the bottom of the world pillar.
So Gravity Rush is like a Franco-Belgian comic book set in a eastern inspired universe, it's a weird mix but it's what makes it so unique.
kill urself
u first uncultured swine.
I wish they'd go into more specifics about the world
>where did humans and animals come from
>what exactly are Nevi and why are they hostile
>are we on an actual planet or in an infinite void of clouds
>how big is the known world and how many major cities like Hekesville are there
>are there any massive chunks of natural land, like floating continents or whatever
>is there just one World Pillar or multiple ones
>is there a "ground" under the Rising Death
If any of this is answered later in GR2 pls no spoiler
>Jupiter Kat will never sit on your face
I wanna creampie Kat
This game has the ugliest female character I've ever seen in a Japanese game.
>where did humans and animals come from
I think they were just kind of created, Gade created Hekseville or laid the foundations, after that he had no control over it so he just chilled in the sewers.
>what exactly are Nevi and why are they hostile
They're the original life that existed before humans, hatched from the cosmic egg beneath the pillar, they're not inherently evil they're just simple lifeforms that are easy to manipulate by either light or dark.
>are we on an actual planet or in an infinite void of clouds
I'd wager it's a void, all that exists below is an ocean of darkness that came into being at the very beginning of creation, it's also described as "heavy" implying it could even be a gas giant if anything.
>how big is the known world and how many major cities like Hekesville are there
I think Hekseville is the only city in that void/dimension, there are others like Jirga but they are separated now by the rift planes. Other Pillars exist but it's talked about as if they are alternate timelines/universes.
>are there any massive chunks of natural land, like floating continents or whatever
Jirga had a mainland in their dimension, probably a large floating organic landmass similar to Lei Havina but bigger.
That isn't really spoilery but it alludes to some stuff in GR2.
Also in Chinese mythology, the universe hatched from a seed and a giant emerged and grew until he became the size of earth, then died and became the world we know today.
In Gravity Rush, the World Pillars insides are hollow and look skeletal like a spine, implying the Hekseville is built on what may have been a living creature at one point. The floating teeth also lend credence to this.
Lunar is overrated as heck.
>slowest shifting speed
>floaty walking and running
>wall-jumping is for making show-off webms, but useless in practice
>shit stasis throw
It's only use is fighting the flying nevi with the teleport kick, because they dodge everything else.
Jupiter's unique block can stagger bosses and green nevi. The black hole attack is also by far more useful, because it outright deletes enemies out of existence. It shines in ground combat, but also has the fastest shifting speed, useful charged stasis and gravity kick attacks, unlike Lunar.
fuck of to your shitting street pajeet
>Ananta Śeṣa
>Śeṣa
>mfw going down the world pillar for the first time
I don't even know why it was so scary, just the never ending falls and the giant sea of darkness below
Was genuinely frightening
>posting best_ outfit
The horror vibes were at their strongest there I think, the whole thing with the ghost and the town at the bottom of the pillar was very eerie.
The world of Hekseville is a lot more uninviting and spooky compared to Jirga imo, everything feels more isolated and in a void. At least Jirga has sun and rainbows.
kat pusy
kat with big tats
Eh, it was not scary, but it felt so alien to everything you've seen up until that point in the game.
>The world of Hekseville
>compared to Jirga
I'm pretty sure both are in the same world. Jirga is just floating around somewhere at a much longer orbit around the Pillar.
It wasn't scary but the atmosphere was a lot different to anything preceding it, Hekseville felt kind of bleak at the beginning of the game but it never felt familiar. Once you get to the pillar things just get weirder and weirder.
They say in the game that Syd helped the entire city cross dimensions to Hekseville where it's now docked next to the pillar, it was in another world before that. Also in the GR2 manga they elaborate on it even more, Lisa thinks Kat is crazy because Hekseville doesn't exist on any map of their world.
I want her to stand on me in Jupiter form
>Sony California didn't want a mixed race female protagonist because she wasn't ugly and didn't hate white people
The PlayStation brand doesn't deserve this suffering
>They say in the game that Syd helped the entire city cross dimensions
I don't remember that being said so explicitly. If you find a source for that I'd be grateful.
I thought they were just used a gravity storm to warp closer to Hekseville. I don't think the rift planes are necessarily other dimensions. They could just be very spatially distant places of the same universe.
>Lisa thinks Kat is crazy because Hekseville doesn't exist on any map of their world.
No wonder, the map is fucking empty.
And you know how maps work in real world, right? They're drawn by people, who are not infallible. They don't objectively show the entire world in details, like in-game maps usually do in open world games and such.
Why do people save thumb nails
>With help from Alias to allow the city to cross dimensions, Jirga Para Lhao now neighbours Hekseville.
That's all I have from wiki but it is said in-game, and I think it's stated a few times that Kat is in another world. The world in Gravity Rush seems to be broken up into lots of different rift planes and dimensions. Cyanea even talks about them like they're "cracks in the dream" so Jirga's dimension may have been one with Heksevilles once but not any more.
There are even hints that the ancient civilisation that built the Arks are not only the ancestors of Eto and Hekseville but the Lhao too, there are ruins in the mining sites with bird statues similar to the arks and the same language as the one in Jirga.
KAT
PUSY
What's next for Kat's career?
oblivion
It just says they passed through the rift.
The rift very well might connect to distant points in the same world.
I got addicted to Jupiter Slide
Kali and Cecie's (Duraga) names are literally hindu gods or some shit that match with their personalities
I love games with a lot of lore built into them. I hope we can meme GR3 into existence. This series was really cool.
Server revival when?
When GR is re-released on Tencent Game Store.
From the manga. You'll have to rewatch the game cutscenes too but it's there, as far as I can tell they are in separate dimensions.
But then the world doesn't seem to work in a very scientific way. You could argue the dimensions work like countries and the rift planes are like the ocean that separates them.
Yeah there's a lot they can do since they hinted at other versions of Kat and Raven, other world pillars in the first game too. There's a lot they could do with it.
Why the fuck are they talking about Eto so early?
Ans the whole deal with the Kat-Raven fusion probably has something to do with reincarnation. They talk about Kat and Raven like they're soul mates, but they were born separately. In religion this is a thing that happens, one soul can be born into several different people.
No idea, maybe Kat has some idea of where she's from or remembers abstract things like names. She did awaken some of her memories with Cyanea in GR1, she even saw the palace.
>lunar mode + white kat
If only some of you were as lucky.
Imagine posting in a GR thread and not having White Kat! Could you believe if there were people in these threads that didn’t order Kat’s game?
I pre-ordered Kat's game but at the same time I hunted down physical copies of GR1 Remaster. You won't believe how rare that game is.
It was only rare in the US and Canada thanks to some retarded exclusivity deal Sony signed with Amazon + it only got one print. It got a normal retail release in Asia and PAL regions.
I just pussed out and bought the german version. Way cheaper physical
For me, it's FatKat
What's the mode that makes her not smelly
I didn't know about that deal since I didn't buy mine from Amazon. I bought it at another online store.
We all wanted the US one because of the box art. If you only wanted the game then there's absolutely nothing wrong with other region versions. They're cheaper too.
i personally donn't like the white background of the us box. other areas are better
Totally get you user. But the big EU/ Australia age rating logos get to me when I compare the boxes side by side when shopping for games. Funny I think sometimes Asia doesn't have those logos at all. Rather they're stickers. Though I have to order a new game to confirm.
