I used a time machine and got one at radio shack

im not a fucking turbo autist so i dont use one

What should I be looking for in a CRT to play retro games on?

I don't remember, my dad gave it to me in 1991, 40" and cutting edge full with s-video support no less

in the past, where it belongs

>need to dump a bunch of broken crt but cant be fucked to shift them yourself
clever

They're always by the side of the road and always working. Still have one sitting around somewhere though.

... I mean radio shack

avoid flat screens, and look for a sony.

I'd be happy to take that lovely coffee table.

why?

also anything else?

>free CRTs
>we also have some rock CDs and free beer in our van...

It's the most valuable thing there honestly

Trinitron tubers are generally considered to make old games look better than shadowmask tubes. Flat CRTs are worse at scrolling an image (supposedly). Also avoid any CRT with an HDMI port, they do digital processing and introduce lag.

For me, its the Micomsoft XRGB-Mini Framemeister Upscaler Unit.

You got the soundtrack to Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX in there too?

Ever seen new movies on VHS on a CRT? Shits weird, but adds a touch of soul.

Every time

Well, if i'm emulating rather then original original hardware, how/what's the best method for output conversion? What video ouput/input method should I even be using in that situation? Compenent, composite, RGB, S video, etc?

I use an OSSC because I want to play multiplayer games without having to be 6 inches away from the TV.

Too much work and not enough soul

This, I've had one for a long time and I don't really get bothered by input lag. I guess if you were a speedrun tranny that would be a problem, but I play shit like MMX and F Zero all the time without issues.

nowhere because is don't play retro trash

Why didnt you use the time machine to go back and change your post before you made it?

>only true way to play Time Crisis 2 at home requires a CRT
fuck I need to pick one up

If you get a solid 4k set you dont need a CRT. I play everything on my 55 inch and Donkey Kong Country 2 and Silent Hill 2 have never looked better.

The problem is people buy whatever shitty sub $1,000 set that cuts corners in the motion/scaling department or use composite AV and then wonder why everything is a blurry and laggy mess.
