Are you playing it right now anons? How are you enjoying the update and are you excited for the summer updates later...
What did the update add?
I'd only play it for poker and only poker
LOL did anyone even remember this game came out? It died so quickly.
Done everything I wanted to do in single player, unless they add dlc I'll probably not come back to it for a couple years when I've forgotten a bit. Fuck the multiplayer heard it was shit and paying for online in 2019 makes you a retard, no excuse anymore why you would have to pay just to play a game online.
The game was only worth playing for the story which wasn't even that good and all the little details that only a big studio like Rockstar could do. Apart from that it's very forgettable experience.
I played the story, online is shit. It was fun too goof ass around in the first red dead online tho
They need to add in random encounters in the multiplayer like there are in single player. The world feels so empty without them
They did in the last patch.
They added online poker
Oh shit really? I know they finally added poker which is great
what kind of random encounters do they have?
Yes I am. just spent a weekend slapping fish on the back of my horse
the stuff added so far is nice to have but RDO is only even going to begin being worth a shit with the summer update, so unless you are logging on now just to get free gold and cash there's little point
But who am I kidding, there's no point at all because it's still a shallow experience built around dicking around with your friends, it's not like there's any great fucking content for you to engage in, it's all completely hollow without a serious narrative and meaningful NPC interaction. The overwhelming majority of the population can't or won't talk and the people that do just have their shitty mics on all the time so you can hear their shitty music/tv, and they're sqeakers to boot. You can't even RP because everyone is the same master gunslinger/hunter/whateverthefuck, and everyone does the same shit, there's no division of content. Everyone kills wolves for meat, everyone takes missions to protect/attack caravans, everyone has the same fucking storyline, in a world where everyone is special, no one is.
So far I've encountered:
>Defended a camp from incoming raiders
>Was asked to check on a friend who went fishing, she was attacked by the murfree brood, escorted her back
>Found a drunk guy outside Van Horn's bar, escorted him back to beaver's Creek where the locals attacked me.
>Rescued a woman screaming for help
2 others I can't remember. If you see black smoke, it's usually something to check out. They appear on the radar too if you ride by
they're rare as shit and the only one I've found is I saved some hogtied woman from 4 dudes and took her to the sheriff
>They added online poker
I know I played a bit with the free week. I dont want to play a ps plus sub just for poker.
oh hell ya, picked back up
Thats great! I can't believe it took them so fucking long to implement these simple things into the game. They should have waited longer before releasing online and maybe it wouldnt have bombed
I couldn't care less about the multi-player
Why don't they add the new weapons and outfit types into the single player as well? I just want to mist some baddies with the LeMat but don't want to have to jump into an online server to do it.
They also tweaked the free mode combat system, defensive players don't have anything big to worry about anymore.
Is the game worth coming back to? dropped it a few hours after valentine I liked the story but god the controls are so clunky
Honestly I thought it was already good enough with the last update that added the hostility system, but I guess the defensive mode helps just a little more
The game should feel dangerous when you're outside of the city since the game is all about being a fucking bandit. That being said, there needs to be serious consequences for starting shit in an urban area
Well it's not like the controls suddenly become less clunky. I think the first game has one of the best narratives in gaming. 2 is still a good story.
looking through the patch notes they actually added a ton of good stuff and gameplay improvements
good on them for trying (imo taking good steps) to fix this turd
Playing with John is a fucking turnoff. hardly coming back to the game anymore.
>Saved a guy from bandits. Dropped him home.
>Took a Mexican woman home after her horse died.
>Rescued a hostage from the Saint Denis graveyard.
The game has some major problems on PS4. I've had the game crash and CE-34878-0 error me a number of times.
Sometimes I can't get missions from strangers.
they pulled the same fucking shit with GTA 5. What the fuck man just just unlock it in singleplayer! fucking niggers!
Because they want you to pay with online money. Did the same thing in GTAV, they stopped adding the new cars and weapons to singleplayer.
I ran into a neat one in the the dead of night in the bayou, a woman's carriage was attacked by gators (their eyes glowed red, it was sweet) and they were swarming her so I had to light the gators up and they even charge you after you kill a couple. Nothing difficult, but fun nonetheless.
Online only features, including a new weapon. Pretty fucking pathetic honestly.
>go online
>game crashes
>try to load a showdown series
>game loading screen never stops
>when it is working you can get autoaimed from your flank
>rockstar "games"
I don't care about the multi, I just bought it for single. Gameplay-wise, it's fairly bloated, but still enjoyable to traverse and shoot things. I am flat-out amazed, however, that this gets not one bit of noise from the fans on my pro. Some games make it screech, but I've heard total silence during RDR2.
The dynamic events just make the world feel alive
before it just felt so empty because literally nothing would happen outside of towns except maybe getting ambushed every once in awhile. It was especially apparent because the single player world felt so rich and alive
Anyone else really like seeing what others name their horses?
That's to be expected with how Rockstar is handling things nowadays, but Jesus, at least GTAV got Online content added in SP for a while before they pulled the plug there.
Which gun is it?
