Aubrey Hodges always made really unnerving tracks
Is this the Laura music? TEW is a great game. Sequel is just as good. I wish it was more recognized.
That DOOM track is uncomfortable.
It is! And yeah man TEW is unironically one of my favorite games of all time
I wish it had more humor and dumb stuff in it like RE4. First game has an amazing aesthetic. I wish it ran better on PC, but it's a lot of fun. Sequel gets as lot of hate, but it's fantastic, too.
I love both 1 and 2, definitely prefer one because it reminded me more of RE4 but maybe on a replay I'd prefer 2, I'll have to see.

(Maledictus!) Donum libas, (Inficimur!) Valedictus bestia. (Maledictus!) Pace do si donas. (Inficimur!) Argentum aqua in tenebris. Ave, sanguine! Redemptio risor se, Exi, et exi, et pleba tua salus. Vale, vale, (Inficimur!) In tenebris aqua. (Maledictus!) Et argentum aqua. (Inficimur!) Et argentum aqua. Sanguine! Sanguine!
I actually played TEW1 before I ever touched a RE. My first RE was 7, and I've since gone back and played 4 and RE2make. I tried REmake, but it wasn't really for me.
I think that all the Souls games will eventually fade away with time and be forgotten, except for the original Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Bloodborne the most, though. One of the best games ever made.
RE2 remake was a bit meh to me, I hope if I give it time and go back I'll enjoy it.
Right? Probably one of my favorite horror compositions
Another contribution, my DM would play this one sometimes: youtu.be
I loved it. I think 4 is my favorite of the few I've played. Great dialogue and combat. I wish TEW had more humor - the sequel had some more dry stuff with Sebastian, and even some fourth wall breaks, but I wanted some RE4-level camp.
My cat really dislikes that Quake track.
I've always thought about getting Dead Space since the Thing is one of the few horror movies I enjoy, but I'm not a fan of how the music goes off the walls when stuff starts happening. I'm fine with loud enemies, but I wish the music was like this at all times.
I've been thinking, would there be any interest in a survival horror/horror gen on /vg/?
I would like that, I’m always looking for obscure SH games.
Spooky yet arousing

Darkwood is decent and it's free on pirate bay, put there by the devs themselves.

I'm sorry, bro. Sending good vibes to your cat
I agree. It's like the score is trying waaaay too hard to be terrifying and just coming across as annoying
Thinking about Amnesia: youtu.be
And another DOOM track: youtu.be
On one hand, I'd rather not steer vidya discussion away from Yea Forums, but on the other it might be a good way to kind of filter out a more interested community that would generate better discussion. Horror threads mostly die pretty quick here anyway.
Anyone have suggestions on what would be essential stuff to include in an OP? RE and SH guides are obvious. I might upload a soundtrack archive to Mega or something.

This song came with the game but was inactivated.

Not really spooky, but some tracks from Suda51's games definitely lean more towards the more uncomfortable.
If we're talking OSTs, Amnesia and SOMA come to mind. Coincidentally both composed by Mikko Tarmia

He works with Yamaoka a lot, the Killer is Dead soundtrack has some amazing ambience to it.
You're the man.
Fallout always has good spooky tracks

Well in the meantime while I work on putting together an OP for a thread maybe, here's some soundtracks I have uploaded. Mostly Silent Hill, Resident Evil and some random stuff.
