alright I'll bite, story?

I love Osaka.

>user is a no-life social outcast that does nothing but play vidya in his parent's basement
>his relatives still think he has a job and a life
>''surely he must make money from this if that's all he does''

Are you Jewish? Family sure is.

Just sounds like boomers to me.

>relatives have finally stopped asking if I have a girlfriend at every family gathering
Sweet freedom.

Attached: ass.jpg (196x196, 25K)

they think you're gay.

Sounds like my dad
>Small time LPer
>Make $100 every 3 months
>Dad thinks I take YouTubeshit seriously and make a decent amount even when I explain I make fucking pennies

I don't really care what they think as long as they stop pestering me about it every time as if it's the only thing that defines your life.

It is.

>relatives asking why i dont have a girlfriend
>2 jobs can barely pay my rent
>student loans fucking me in the ass
>most girls are muh patriarchy
>parents ashamed i play female characters but playing male characters makes them assume im gay

>grandpa was a painter for 40 years and basically never played a game in his life
>asks me about how my games are going occasionally
>have to use painting analogies for him to understand anything i say

Me too

>Parents think I'm depressed because I only play video games
>Finally get a full time job because insurance
>Parents think I must be happy now even though I'm the same
>Except I have 40 less hours a week to do things I want

>because insurance
???

>gets a loan for a degree he doesn't use
Lmfao fucking retard.

Once you turn 26 you can't be on your parents insurance anymore.

>student loans fucking me in the ass

>implying degrees right now are any different than a highschool diploma with how over saturated they are

Attached: n.jpg (955x424, 80K)

>get degree
>2 months later get a 90k/yr job with full benefits
>"but degrees are worthless!"

Idk I thought degrees were useless but even being a dumbass that took 6 years to graduate with a 2.5 gpa I had a contractor agency set me up with a full time job in a lab within 2 months of me applying straight out of college.

more like they know I don't do shit and I don't have any other interests so they're desperately trying to get me to make "the next big vidya" or whatever the hell

>oh you like playing video games so much? why dont you make one
YES BECAUSE KNOWING HOW TO COLLECT FUCKING STARS IN MARIO MEANS I KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM SHIT

Attached: 1418779811073.png (283x244, 95K)

This is pretty annoying. I always have to explain to them slowly that I enjoy consuming media, not creating it.

>oh you like watching sports? why dont you start a team
>oh you like reading novels? why dont you write one
>get stared at like i killed their fucking dog

Attached: FUCK (3).png (907x669, 293K)

Boomers don't understand interactive media. when they were growing up computers were for professionals. So if you're on your computer all the time they assume you "know computers" as if that's a marketable skill these days. When really you're just doing the 21st century equivalent of watching TV

Honestly turn that 9 to a 6 and this is basically me.

Just do anything STEM and you'll be good.

I've learned to shut my mouth and leave all the details of my life a mystery to relatives. It's a never ending stream of problems if you ever blab about the smallest thing. Aunts bitch and nag, parents try to help you and fuck things up, grandparents stress over nothing and bombard you with their worries. Life is really so much easier if you just talk about the weather or politics or whatever and dodge every personal question thrown at you.

post diploma and paycheck

Could you give me an example?

This is sage advice. Gen X and Boomers are such fucking busybodies who forgot how to enjoy themselves.

Attached: 1555851346902.jpg (960x641, 778K)

i got kicked off at 21 because of military insurance

Holy shit this. It's even worse when your self-employed and get dirty looks from your family because it's "not a real job". Now I pretty much just laugh to myself and realize they're just butthurt because I found a way to support myself without having to suck corporate cock 40 hours a week.

It's not their fault. They were pretty much programmed at birth to live to work and not work to live.

Somehow I've managed to completely dodge this. I only ever get asked about work/school.

>start asking if I have a boyfriend instead

it truly is bizarre how detached one can be from normalfag life, where "I literally am not even attracted to the opposite sex" is a more reasonable conclusion than being a KHV neet.

>Do you have a girlfriend?
Get a GF
>When are you guys getting engaged?
Get engaged
>When are you guys getting married?
Get married
>When are you guys having kids?
>mfw

Attached: mad-man-pulling-hair-out.jpg (401x299, 180K)

I don't think I'll ever understand the mindset of normalfags like that.

Attached: 1554412233098.png (353x305, 133K)

>dad refuses to help himself and also refuses to stop helping others and let them be responsible
I give up

>he didn't get 200k starting
look at this fucking poorfag

>only one in my family who doesn't drink or smoke
how the fuck do I find people to be around in modern society that don't like rotting their fucking braincells every goddamn time they do ANYTHING

>working at all
>not a rich shitskin paki shitting on whores faces all day

Attached: pathetic.jpg (1280x1707, 352K)

Most people just smoke and/or drink to cope with life user. It's video games for normalfags.

video games don't turn people into a shitty smelling bumbling retard who you can't even talk to

Unless it's Melee.

alcohol and tobacco would be illegal if it wasn't fucking ancient

>video games don't turn people into a shitty smelling bumbling retard who you can't even talk to

That;s debatable

meleefags are a bunch of stoners
t. former meleefag who had to put up with them

kek

>t. beta

>Relative asks me about vidya
>Sit attentively and listen to my response
>"man that's so cool, I wish I knew half this stuff about things I liked"
I swear I'm the single human being on the planet who had a fun upbringing.
Explaining the "plot" of dark souls to my little cousin is my favorite moment involving gaming.

big mistake getting married with a roastie

You sound like you have a cool family user. Most of us are not as blessed as you are.

>TFW not many people do not know who this image is of.

>any different
>still wasted money on it
Hmm

I find that hard to believe.

Haven't read it but I'll guess it's an Azumanga Daioh character.
Also why are some people adding a full stop to greentext lines now? Looks out of place.

My local Uni opened up "e-sports scholarships" back when LoL and Dota2 were the biggest things in the news.
Dad hears about it on the radio and hurries home to tell me how amazing it is for me since I play videogames so much.

It was very kind of him but I had a hard time laughing it off and saying "nah thats not for me" without killing the moment for him and explaining how fucking stupid the whole thing was.

Attached: 1485753710118.png (437x575, 271K)

>t. omega

It really isn`t anymore. Lots of e-sports teams being formed all around the world. You should at least stay informed, you can be hired as a coach or something and make some money out of e-sports dorks.

Most esport orgs are running in the red and so are most esport games. Case in point, riot not making a profit from its league.

Why do parents refuse to accept if you'll be KV forever? They keep asking me if I'll ever have kids or get married.

Even if they weren't, competitions tighter then real sports for the same reason the game industry can shit on its workers harder then other entertainment industries.

am i reverse-based for watching the dub?

>coworkers talking about video games, overwatch, Apex and fortnite
>they are console and mobile casuals
>”hey user, you a PC gamer, what do i need to make my laptop a gaming laptop?”
>”how do i make money from streaming? I wanna be a twitch streamer”

Just stop.

>You give general pointers just to end the conversation
>It doesnt work and they resent you for it
Normalfags are the worst

my classmate who wont stop playing brawl told me hes thinking about dropping out of mechanical engineering and going pro gamer

Undelete this right now, Jack S. Cole.

You know what's weird?
I remember being in my teens and early 20s, and I remember resenting the idea of looking for ways to make money. I used to write and draw a lot, and everyone would tell me that I should learn how to make money off of it. I resented the idea. I guess I thought it would cheapen it somehow, if I were making it for the money and not for the fun of it.

Looking back though, I realized how stupid I was to think that. Making money and doing it for the fun aren't mutually exclusive, and there's nothing jewish or miserly about asking for compensation for your work if its in demand.

I think it ultimately came down to a primal urge to provide for myself, and my lack of growth convincing me that I was incapable of doing that. It really shaped who I grew into as a human being, mostly for the worse.

Thats what I'm trying to do now user, but Its just pixel art right now I need to get a draw pad for drawing things digitally

>San Francisco, California
That'll be a yikes from me, Jack S Cole

That's great! Keep going user! Don't let anything stop you.
And you can get drawing pads on Amazon for fairly cheap. The 60-ish buck Wacom intuos tablets are perfectly fine for starting out
