Fuck you, I liked it.
Fuck you, I liked it

I liked the GC version that had a special Black Eyed Peas tie in. Any game with the Blue EA Games logo is a automatic 6 out of 10. Games were better back then
More like
The Niggers: Niggers in the city
This and Bustin' Out were legit fun games. I wish there was a modern game that has GRAFIX and a bit deeper mechanics. I really liked the aspects of making money to afford your own house and decorating it, while still having somewhat linear progression locked by quests in the game. If something like this were to be made today it would be either completely on rails with no freedom or completely open and no fun.
One of the only games to feature my fetish as a primary mechanic. I wish there were more sims-rpg type games.
What's wrong with liking it? I thought it was alright.
I played the DS version.
I had the PS2 version, and I was thoroughly disappointed. I played the shit out of Bustin' Out, and would consider it to be in my top 5 or so favorite PS2 games. Urbz felt very different when compared to Bustin' Out, though. Not sure exactly what it was, because many of the mechanics were very similar. Everything in Urbz felt shallow and half-bakes
Fuck you, I hated it.
Such a beautiful soundtrack
>playing as virtual black "people"
no thanks shlomo, I'll stick to human simulators, if I want to play as antique farm equipment I'll buy farm simulator Thank*clap*YOU*clap*VERRRRY*clap*MUCH!*clap*
Simsfags fucking hate the direct control games, plus they're so much products of their time that EA would never make a version for the PC.
Wasn't Bustin' Out just a consolized Sims 1? Either way, that game and Urbz were best on handhelds anyway. It's one of maybe five good N-Gage games
It's fucking great, dude. love how Urbz and Sims 2 capture the early-mid 2000's
I bought this shit full price and still haven't played it more than 2 hours lmao
Sims 2 DS is the best DS RPG
Simsfags have shit taste, it's why they like the sims.
Peeing?
GBA version is top tier. the most content packed in any gba title
Best Sims on the GBA and probably the best "casual RPG" for the GBA. Banging music too. It's a shame the minigames were not very good aside from the Excitebike clone.
Also a shame The Sims 2 on the GBA sucked shit.
Daddy Bigbucks did literally nothing wrong
Getting tomatoes thrown at you?
Yes, but specifically wetting and desperation.
Was that the stupid one where you were in a Truman Show ripoff? Yeah that shit sucked.
God tier taste my dude.
>buying up everything and monetizing it to hell and back, ruining the place in the process
He's EA incarnate and the worst parts of the business world.
Bustin' Out was more like Sims 2 with discrete goals/quests. You complete the goals, get promoted, and move into some other house, with new roommates. The whole game has you hopping around houses until you become rich and reach the end of your career, at which point you get to fuck around in a mansion as an astronaut or the president or some shit.
I wish EA would make another Sims game like this.
Reporting in! Nothing strange here, I'm just a normal Sims title!
How can they sell Stuff packs in a game like it, though? That's the only reason they make Sims games anymore. Honestly I think these direct control games are better than any of the main series, at least without mods/all of the expansions. I'd rather play Urbz on DS than PC Sims 2, but I'm also biased I guess.
You were a fucking ayy lmao all along, user
user if you liked the GBA version I strongly suggest the DS one, it was the definitive version of the GBA one and thus probably the zenith of the direct control Sims games, other than
Obviously that is why the industry as a whole has moved away from such games. Games like that you can only sell DLC if you actually make additional content for the game, instead of simply selling tiny little bits like furniture or whatever for real money. What I don't understand is why we never see any indie developers copying some of the genres that microtransactions have killed. Like where is the indie dev or played Bustin' Out as a kid and just makes his own modern version of it? Instead indie devs are all busy making the 10 billionth indie platformer.
Stuff packs could work the same as they do in the main games. Buy Mode was a thing in Bustin' Out. You could still buy furniture and shit for whatever house you currently lived in. I think there was also a limited Build Mode, but I am not quite sure.
>DS urbs
>definitive
>removed pets
Its shit
Your forgetting the sims 3 wii, the greatest game ever made
dumpster diving?
Pocketing chickens?
I really do think that most Sims fans don't like these games and thus an indie dev wouldn't copy it.
What was up with this? Didn't it have a plot twist or something? Can't find it online
LET'S GET IT STARTED IN HERE
Gazork Gazork!
I've never actually beat either of these games. Just way too much of a time commitment. I remember my brother showing his pets or something from urbz and I was like how the fuck you unlock that shit.
The violin minigame is top tier.
youtube.com
>soul
It knows
Fiddling against a demon?
YASSS Queen! YASS!
I stopped when i reach paradise island quest. I'm not good at insulting.
The main villain's motives are meta
The map felt so big despite being so small, it was a 'nice' game. Wish there were more things like it.
That quest is optional, it only gives you some money. :)
The console version and the handheld version are literally the soul souless meme, and this isn't even a pun on the handheld version being set in not Louisiana
I wish that I had the skills to make something like this 15 years old game.
>yfw we'll never get games like these anymore
just fuck my life
I'm tired of playing realistic graphics movie gaymez shit over and over
back then things were simpler
You know what is infuriating? Mobile devs actually make fucking nice assets for a game like this, and in quantities unlike anything you'd imagine all fueled by whales, but it will all be spend on match-3 puzzle games and pay or wait shit, never into an actual game.
You need to get away from the AAA developers, and just ignore game news. Scour the indy scene for a while. It is a great time for the indies right now. Sure there is a lot of crap, but there is plenty of gold out there.
the industry truly is fucked
What an incredibly weird game
AAA is the scene now. You either only but AAA or have to buy and support indie hipster shit. Not that indie games are bad inherently. The era of the middling/hidden gem game died with ps2/cg more or less. There were still some during the 360/p3 era but now if a game doesn't cater to the lowest comment demonstrator and have flashy graphics and make all the money in the world then companies deem it a failure.
yeah that's what I do these days mostly emulating old school stuff on my pc and on my phone.. funny part is
I'm actually having fun playing those
THIS. BASED!
I own the Xbox, DS, and GBA version, and they are all great.
Sims 2 had direct control on Xbox. Still seething they haven't brought it back permanently.
Based and pisspilled.
Looking back at these handheld Sims games, I think a full-on Shenmue clone could've done really well. Too bad EA would never try something like it again, and even if they did it would surely be a monkey's paw situation.
Only niggas with snowcone machines in their pad can talk to me.
You got it wrong.
The DS version had pets, the GBA version didn't.
>Hating the Charlie Daniels mini game.
You have shit taste.
I thought it was OK when I played it. That was ages ago though
Closest we get is Badass Rumble and Way of the Samurai both on PSP
>console sims games are full single player rpga
What the fuck
I remember fearing the docks in Bustin' Out because of the chance the Velocirooster might spawn
You're either an idiot, or a shill. Either way, you are what is wrong with the industry today.
I wish this was good
You know what I fucking miss? Sports games that aren't all simulation shit, and full of special moves and fire coming out of their feet and shit
