I have never played an MMO in my life but the whole WOW classic thing looks hype. Should I bother or should I just not throw my life in the trash yet?

WoW was always trash. There's no reason to play it besides nostalgia when better games like TESO, FF14 and even GW2 exist.

You've still got three months user. Once it does launch give it a shot and see if you like it. If you don't you're only out 15 bucks (there is no base game you need to purchase).

When I was in middle school, I played vanilla WoW more-or-less like a singleplayer game. I didn't really run any dungeons or have a guild or anyone in-game friends. Didn't even complete quests initially. I just explored the game's world and killed random mobs for experience. Even arguably the most boring part of the game (solo grinding) can be satisfying if you have never played the game before (at least when you're fourteen). It will probably be an enjoyable experience especially if you have friends or are better at making online friends than an autistic teenager.

I went into one of those centrifuge rides once. It sucked.

The only MMO I have ever played is Diablo II and the grinding autismo coupled with an abysmal nerfing patch literally the day after I finally got windforce vaccinated me against all short MMO garbage. Fuck them, fuck you and fuck trannies for good measure.

Wow classic fag here. It didn't age well. Even back then, I always told my friends: "I like wow, but it's not a good game. It's just the only one of it's kind" and that was very true for classic. There was just no MMO like it back ten.
But honestly MOST of the additions over the years are positive, because a lot of shit in classic WoW is needlessly annoying. Having quest items that only drop once every 15 mobs, your mana being barely enough for more than one mob. Yes you didn't pull a million mobs like you do in modern wow, but having an accidental pull of multiple mobs meant a needlessly long walk from the graveyard for most classes.
Imagine a Mobile game, where every progress slows to a crawl in order to make you buy shit. Only in WoW you didn't have the option to buy shit, it was just slow period.

That all being said, I understand the nostalgia for it, but I think if you never played WoW, rather than paying a sub to play classic, you might as well try out one of the private servers and see how you like the experience.
