Nuclear Throne
I played Isaac for like 300 hours, then Gungeon for 300 hours, and now I've only started playing Nuclear Throne the other week. Since then I keep thinking "this is the game I wanted all along." It's more focused on movement/combat than interesting item combos which is more to my preference. The huge amount of content in Isaac and Gungeon is cool but all the complexity feels surprisingly tedious after a while.
When I was a kid I played Power Pete which kind of reminds me of these games lol

gungeon
I don't like NT. Too frenetic. Too chaotic. Never really feels like when I die it's my "fault" or something, just that things started moving too fast for my brain to keep up with.
does NT ever go on sale?
>that factor of 2
Kirby's wrong, it's ok to hate something because it's popular.
There are some unfair situations in NT but I think that's balanced against the short length of the game. Some gungeon runs would take me more than 45 minutes while NT is 20 minutes or less
Isaac
neither
my experience with NT was like this user but i really liked how good it felt shooting in that game, in the end the pure chaos was too much to keep up with especially with 30fps cap
in gungeon like 70% of the guns felt too weak and unsatisfying that i ended up using the starting pistol instead. Also i dont know if i was a lucklet but i barely got items most of the time reaching 5th chamber with no active/passives at all, when opening like 5-10 chests per run
this game ended up being too tedious to play.
That's on you mostly. I can get to the second loop I'd say 85-90% of the time. Just have to learn the ins and outs of it like any other game. It is a lot faster paced than other games in the genre though
Nuclear Throne. I've gotten tired of it but there's something about it that's just so addicting and I could never get into gungeon in the same way. Still very well designed though
Monolith
Fuck I wish there was more content, that's it's biggest downside. Took maybe 30 hours before I'd seen it all. But it was a damn good 30 hours
Isaac. I prefer knowledge based rewards over skill based rewards in my rogue-likes.
Gungeon. I like that it gives me large rooms to dodge in. The lighthearted tone is also pretty nice.
Collecting items in Isaac still feels more satisfying though.
I like both
is controls tight user? cause i had an urge to pick it up but something stopped me
Yes. It's as snappy and precise as you'd expect a shmup to be
based and wishlisted
Not sure what you mean by this
Enter the Gungeon by far. NT is all about twitch reflexes, EtG is more strategic
Isaac has a lot more ways to customize your run by exploiting the numerous secrets all over. You may go through a floor thinking it gave you nothing but it's surprising how little it takes to pull at a thread to unravel the whole thing. NT and ETG have things like this as well but not as intricate and rewarding.
Dead Cells
I haven't played either of them. Do I win?
Yes, congratulations user!
fuck off rami. shouldnt you be trying to such a clymdia out of some blue haired hamplanet right now?
What
get the fuck out of here
Both games are pretty good, NT's 30fps kills me on the inside
I don't play indieshit.
Nuclear Throne just because of the pacing, and ammo management isn't nearly as important as it is in enter the gungeon. It's kind of fucking stupid that nuclear throne has never gone on sale, either.
Both of them can have completely bullshit moments though.
Like trying to get to yv's mansion in nuclear throne, or the cellar in enter the gungeon.
Monolith is fucking great.
There is no polite way to describe your lack of taste.
