What will this need to be successful?
Google Stadia
a complete breakup of all the tech and ISP oligopolies
>be VERY cheap, like 50 dollars, and have hdmi, VGA, and maybe even component exits
>support for streamming in lower resolution, like 360p, for third worlders
>an "OK" library
Let's be honest, if you have money to buy a console, money to pay for good internet, money to pay for monthly subscription, then you have 0 reasons to buy a Stadia and have a shitty youtube quality compressed streaming gaming experience with input delay. In theory third worlders would love this shit, but it would need to be actually cheap and not require such a monster internet to work.
Carrying your Steam library over
To be able to play offline
Oh wait ....
It just needs to be cheap, and it needs to give you a decent selection of games. Since Stadia is a service and not a physical product, millions of people technically already "own" it. All it needs to do is make the value of the games you can play outweigh the cost of the service, and a Netflix-style a la carte service would definitely deliver that. They could also do like said and make it be more of a companion service for when you want to play games outside of the space where you set up your rig
A miracle.
Don't be so sure, this is literally vidya companies wet dream, they will push to make this successful very hard.
plus gamers have become so complacent with things like microtransactions they'll likely flock to this if it's memed hard enough.
At bare minimum: reliability and a good pricing model
free or have first party console games because i pirating every fucking pc game there is since 20 years and im not gonna change that son
Third worlders haha

This and a massive overhaul of burgerland's communications infrastructure.
The entire world to get Korea-Japan tier internet
It needs to work
Which is impossible
Even if we all had 10gb fiber, there would be noticable latency
5G, if they release it before 5G exists it's doomed to be a laughingstock.
Google Fiber
a new mind controlled generation of population
5g has more latency than a wired connection. Are you retarded?
It needs to have any significant input from people who have actually made popular and lasting video games.
All the material so far seems to indicate they're going to be pushing the same brand of not-quite-mobile crap that made Oculus/Ouya a graveyard, just in time for SonyBoxTendo to steamroll them with actual vidya.
People are gonna notice when they're playing yet another cute little game with 0 depth while everyone else is playing Dark Souls 4 and shit
What it needs to be successful is for every game company to totally abandon the traditional market in favor of stadia
Something about the way the guy unplugs the controller angers me
Universal fiber internet without caps or throttling.
>t, burgerboi
is it true that you guys need to use vpn for streaming downloads and torrents too? Holly fucking shit lol, i would just kms
need? no, if you get 'caught' the most that will happen is your ISP will send you an empty threat not to do it again.
stadia is an app not a console
