ITT: Heavily flawed games you still love
Parker Taylor
Ryan Sullivan
Most fun I've ever had in a game
Benjamin Campbell
Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands.
The character models look a bit funny and the combat and story aren't as well realised as they could be, but it's platforming and overall sense of adventure are up there with the other sands of time games.
Cameron Rogers
Ayden Russell
My brudda. Shame Sucker Punch aren't gonna be making any more Infamous games for a while.
Jonathan Perry
FFXI
Samuel Perez
Fetch quests for 15 hours: the game
Gets good 40 hours in: the game
Brandon Hall
Evan Flores
Still my favorite Sonic game despite numerous glitches and shit, no game in the series has a finale as hype as it besides maybe Adventure 1.
Ian Smith
Most of my favorite games are flawed in some way:
>Morrowind
I love it, but I’m absolutely not gonna pretend that it’s perfect unlike many others here in Yea Forums. Combat is boring as fuck even after you get past the ”swinging at air” meme, and the world feels too static at times. Heck, I’d also love it if the NPCs had more unique dialog instead of being walking wiki machines. Still, the atmosphere of it all is something truly unique, I love the abstract lore in all its weirdness, and god damn it feels good to play a RPG where you can get your nose bitten off if you get too nosey too early.
>Men of War
GOAT strategy gameplay, insane amounts of hardware to battle with, but wildly varying mission design that goes total dogshit at times, combined with stupidly awful slav voice acting that sucks all seriousness from the game.
>Wargame series
The insanest amount of hardware to play with, no other RTS comes even close. Unfortunately, balance problems never got fixed, AI is the worst kind of unit spammer, and campaigns are trash.
Josiah Carter
Nolan Reed
I'll admit this game has not aged well at all, but I still find it entertaining and enjoyable to take in.
Nolan Rivera
Love may be a strong word, but I still had a good time with it. The fact that they tried to replicate something like Phantasy Star Online but on the DS hardware and with the limited storage space available is still pretty incredible, especially since DS roms were 64-100mb large tops IIRC. Granted it results in claustrophobic environments, horrible sound quality, and the plot was kind of lame, but I still had fun playing through it.
Matthew Davis
That’s a weird one, an open world game that makes zero use of its open world between missions. Still loved it because of its plot and atmosphere, captured its era perfectly.
Connor Brooks
Jose Martin
Mordhau, I know it's new and this is probably about more classic games but I've been playing it a lot and it definitely has it's flaws but it's so much fun.
Carter Taylor
Seconded. The core combat is insanely fun, but the game modes are bad and the map design is at parts horrifyingly bad for its main gamemode. I really wish that they would do something about Tundra, for example.
Oliver Parker
exactly this
Joseph Perry
The first game too, although the first game is cult classic territory already. Both are really fucking good.
Colton Cox
I literally just bought this game about a month ago and have been playing it solo. As someone who loves the original PSO it's such a fun and solid game, but it definitely has flaws. If they were to release an HD remake of it though I would buy it in a flash.
Charles Allen
Easton Johnson
what about shadow of the colossus
