Well, Tobacco advertising is super-omega banned now, but the ties to Phillip Morris are strong enough that like posted, their CEO used to be the chairman of a PM brand.
As for saving them... Yeesh, I'dunno. As far as the F1 Team goes, they fucked up this year's car design philosophy to an extent that they barely are fast enough to get on the podium behind Mercedes. As a company? LOL they're fucked and are already getting on with building an SUV.
I fucking loved Outrun 2, 2 SP and 2006: Coast 2 Coast. I also want Sumo Digital to make a spiritual successor to Ridge Racer.

OOOH. Oh yeah, I remember that shit.
With the manual, I always felt that you could control how your car drifts a little bit better and even change the trajectory and angle of your car mid-corner if you fuck up your initial corner entry.
The big thing to getting fast times is learning when and where to drift and when and where NOT to, because if you're going for a fast time drifting isn't going to help.
