Odds are if an MK rep managed to get in, the obvious rules would be "no gore/death allowed, no fatalities" so the Japanese ratings board doesn't start autistically screeching about this.
Still, either of the main ninjas would be nice to have. Scorpion's signature move and weapon would make for some fun choices, along-side his own teleporting and so on. And Sub-Zero would have an ez fit in as well with his ice-based powered, where other than Lucas and the ICs, you don't really get any big ice-focused shenanigans. Sub-Zero would likely be the more PR-friendly choice, and with how creative his ice moves can be, he would be more than a welcoming choice as potentially the first entirely western created character and IP getting in as playable.

There's the brain game. (strategy, out thinking your opponent, feints/baits) and then there's the mechanical game (knowing what combos into what, what moves not to use, knowing other characters strengths and weaknesses + matchups)
It takes a decent amount of research and practice to "git gud" but you just gotta start small
