They wanted to get Ryan back after Jason left in 2010, but they said they wouldn't cast him unless he left his uniped, so he refused. Now we've been stuck with boomer Sonic for 9 years and counting. Ironically enough Roger is apparently the only VA in TSR that's in a union.

Honestly either Jason Griffith or Ryan Drummond are both great voices for Sonic. They both pretty much accomplish the same thing and give Sonic actual emotional range. Roger Craig Smith feels like he can only ever do snarky.

Both Sonic and Shadow need replacements ASAP. I fucking hated Roger's Sonic even during pre-release of Sonic Colors and my opinion hasn't change a single bit. At least Jason was so bad it's good.

She had a good timbre, but unfortunately she couldn't act for beans. Her delivery was way off and wildly swung between fluid and quick and choppy. Kathleen Turner had the best delivery, but her voice was just too low, and it made the character sound flat. When she tried to pop it up in '06, it sounded strained. And now we got Karen Strassman, who lays it on too thick and her voice doesn't quite fit, it's a little too high, especially in this new game comin out.
