Price

Will there ever be a point where the average price of games go down? I'm getting sick of games that cost near $100 and never even go on fucking sale. I've pretty much stopped buying AAA games.
Are you still shilling out retarded amounts of money for lackluster crap?
What's the straw that will break the camels back?

It's going to get worse with game development costs rising. I'm surprised the standard price $60USD price has not went up yet but publishers know there would be a lot pushback with it. That's why they are pushing so hard to sneak in season passes and other shit. It's a way to push the price of the full game up to $100 without many people realizing it.

Just pirate then you fucking goober

>Fallout 4's season pass is still ~$60 USD
It's terrifying really.

If I was Canadian I would pirate only. also marry a jap and move to BC

Why cant you marry a jap as any other nationality? What a weird thing to say

I barely buy games anymore and I don't even bother with consoles because of this

the average price of games is constant while the average value of the dollar decreases

blame your government and corporate overlords

Canadian here and this is me as well. Bought release day PS3 and that will likely be the last console I ever buy

From one Canuck to another I think they're only doing this just to push for game subscription services or something. Stuff like Game Pass feels like a godsend because of it.

it will only go up

Just don't be Canadian.

Why do niggers who want to prove a point about costs, ALWAYS post the same AAA garbage current-year games with cash-shops, gimmicks and controversy-based marketing campaigns?

100% off at ThePirateBay.org.

I don't buy games at full price. I have not done so in years.

Buy the Donkey Kong 64 Season pass! $49.99. Unlock all the levels for $5.99. Get exclusive access to Diddy by pre-ordering now.

games are on sale all the time in some store. especially "AAA" games go on sale really fast after all the impatient people have bought the games and the selling slows down.

Buy the N64 Ram expansion pack! $34.99!

Can't play DK64 without it! What a bargain!

My Biggest complaint is that the base price never goes down. Most AAA sales just push price down to reasonable levels.

Your biggest complaint is that you can't buy every single game for 5 dollars on sale a year after release. Stop bullshitting. You're just a cheapskate.

>A year
Fuck off.

They don't lower the base price because everybody expects deep cuts during the quarter-yearly sales. If they lower it to thirty bucks, then they're obliged to lower it to 15 bucks on sale. You know this damn well and you're counting on it.

There's no reason to lower the base price on a digital game because there isn't a need to move product off of shelf space as in a retail store. It isn't owed to you simply because you've come to expect it.

Would you buy a season pass for a 4 year old game for 69.99?

*$39.10

No I wouldn't buy the Fallout 4 season pass, because it's shit.

I might pay 70 bucks for a 4 year old good game.

Such as?

I only buy retro games and almost exclusively pirate this generation. Everything being released on PC really helps in that regards.

Dammit, you got me.
