PS3 basically had no games for the first 3 or 4 years of its lifespan and lost in sales for a majority of the generation and just barely eeked out Xbox 360 after it had stopped recieving games. Hell, even after Wii stopped getting games, PS3 didn't pass it up in sales.

It only got good when the generation was basically ending. It lost user. I like my PS3 as well, but it was only worth buying after or close to the generation's end. It's telling that I got the urge to buy it in 2013, whereas I bought my PS2 on launch.
