It's a shame Shadow of Israphel died as it did. I think it was a victim of its own ambition, with each new event they planned getting more and more complex to the point they had a full CG cutscene planned which would have been far ahead of its time back in 2012/2013 but it just ended up too much for their team to handle and buckled under its own weight.

You can tell Lewis still has some passion left for the series going by his big goofy grin during the animation they showed off, but everybody is too busy or has moved on. But at the very least Simon is back on a semi-regular basis and is taking part in a new Minecraft map with Lewis, which has brought back some fond memories of the early days.

I think he's just being nostalgic, but they probably stopped making them because (as they have publicly stated) got bored of the project. Also apparently the animator was taking an assload of time to do a small animation.

Then again, there's still the rumor that the world file got corrupted.

Haven't watched it in a while. It was a pretty cool idea and fun to watch two guys just playing Mineycrafta then get caught up in these crazy quest and shit. But, it got kinda stale when they started trying so hard to one up each arc and develop the characters. When weird shit started happening and gradually escalating it was fun and felt organic. Later in the series where they try so hard to stay in character and conform to a very tight script is not as fun. The constant wackiness and carefully crafted scenarios were just too much.

Having watched them well beyond the end of SOI, it has to be said that their dynamic never really changed.
Simon is still Simon, but Lewis has become unhinged as the years have gone on.
Some people left the Yogscast and others joined and added their own unique personalities to the group.
They kept making music now and then, most of which was great.
They've long since made up for and moved on from the yogventures drama, thought it's still a sore subject for them.
They've started and finished several series since SOI ended, all of which are just as enjoyable to watch.

Overall, I'd say the Yogscast has done pretty damn well for an almost 11 year old group turned company that started with a few nerds playing WoW together.

I remember that YoGPod where they interviewed one of the GoT cast members before the show had begun. Where has time even gone
