The game has nice music, artstyle, easy to play, hard to master gameplay and that together with the low age rating, makes the game an easy pick for parents for their kids without looking too kiddy also cunny

It's fun, good weapon variety, and the matches are quick enough that you can pick it up and put it back down in five minutes. This is supplimented by being able to quickly open the Switch from sleep mode, too. Then of course there's the monthly Splatfests to remind people it exists, which also might make them come back to play in regular matches afterwards.

To be honest Splatoon 2 doesn't need much balancing patches, the game is pretty balanced.
There's weapons better than others, but most of them are viable. I remember a year ago some tryhards on these threads saying it was impossible to win with a brush, and now I still see a proplayer from time to time using one.

It's like a Jr., Pro, and L-3 rolled into one but it's not as good as any of those at what they do. You can tap to shoot single shots at a long range or hold to fire a spray at short range. In theory, it can be good if you have godlike aim while tapping ZR.
