Name a single game where you aren't playibgva role
Tetris
shut the fuck up you fucking retard
You play the role of a guy trying to fit tetris blocks in the board
Name one time this has happened
or girl*
Zelda
That's not a role you play, that is literally what you are when playing Tetris.
Skyrim
I'll never understand this. Is it because it's in a fantasy setting? Because Zelda 2 is the only game with any substantial RPG elements
No videogame has ever come close to actual roleplaying.
Forza horizon 4 is an rpg
Just like in ff7 you are literally cloud?
because they have no gameplay.
They are roleplaying playing video games.
Zelda is an rpg
I never played FF7. Are you literally Cloud in FF7, or are you just playing as him?
You aren't literally in any game,Unless you have a going into games machine
Because it isn't a protected moniker in any way.
Quite many games accepted broadly as RPGs contain no role-playing elements at all, besides the idea of "playing the role of the main character".
Well, but in Tetris you are literally someone trying to fit Tetris blocks in a board, even without a going into games machine.
>DURR EXP SYSTEM = RPG
you are also playing the role of each block
Because of Bioware and the 'we want the call of duty audience'

Not an answer or an argument
correct, it's an observation
The keyword here is 'game'.
Have sex
I will after work
Not that guy, but he is probably correct. If you think "RPG" means "anything having levels", you might want to go play some proper pen and paper one of those days.

I'm going to end this once and for all: an RPG can be defined as a game where you can play any role (PREMADE OR CREATED), and progression is done by exploration, defeating enemies, and collecting items that improve on visible numerical attributes tied to your character(s).
wrong
The true answer is to know that labels are useless
If you use cliché definitions like you end up with everything that has a MC be an RPG
I blame how "Action/Adventure" got replaced with "RPG"
