Cast Into Fire

Some info on Rockstar's new IP being revealed at Microsoft E3's conference next month:

>You play as a bounty hunter who hunts demons
>Setting is a gothic alternate earth filled with monsters, demons, cryptids and the like.
>Giant map with several areas for different countries of earth, representing mythology and folkore of those places (i.e. the America area has cryptids, the Japan area has yokai)
>Player has the ability to capture the souls of demons instead of killing them and can use them to do dark magic to unlock different paths or become more powerful
>Morality system. Being good will make demons more likely to attack you, being sinful will make people more likely to not trust you
>No multiplayer planned at present
>Aim of the game was to make a Rockstar style open world game not as grounded in reality, with memorable action sequences.
>Rockstar took special care for the combat system, wanted it to be challenging but not "balls nailed to the floor unforgiving" like Dark Souls.
>A lot of the creepy and supernatural random encounters and elements in RDR2 were a sort of "warm up" for Cast Into Fire by those on teams for both games

Seriously fuck Rockstar. They suck.

FromSoft games strongest point is the tight combat mechanics; which they mostly get right, especially with Bloodborne and Sekiro. Why the fuck would R* attempt to tackle combat mechanics which in all their previous titles has been serviceable, at best. It's just not something R* do well. The shooting if fine in GTA and RDR, but it's not amazing, and if they're using the euphoria engine again it'll be scuffed as fuck and complete jank. I smell bullshit.
