that doesn't work in DBFZ. you need to get close to your opponent for combos, your lasers do jack shi and especially can't keep out your opponent.
same goes for Tekken 7. While you have 3 characters that can use projectiles, they are not suitable to keep your opponent aways from you, since they can easily be sidestep'd

No I enjoy losing. I enjoy learning matchups and getting better with my character. I don't enjoy playing zoners because I don't find the experience satisfying even when I learn. Only frustrating. It makes the game not fun, it makes learning not fun, and I dislike experiences that aren't fun to put it as plainly as possible. Part of why I like fighting games is the self-improvement aspect of it, but a lot of zoning characters make that experience unrewarding. I would say my win/lose rate is equal to zoners as it is brawler and grappling type characters, so you misunderstand.

Mr game and watch has an absorb and a reflect on one move with almost zero startup and end lag that has three slots for absorbing energy projectiles and deflecting non energy projectiles. It's effective on every single projectile in the game. At it's very worst it makes spamming projectiles worthless and at it's best it destroys matchups so hard that it's as close to a win condition as possible since full charge bucket 0-deaths any character at zero.

SF4 Sagat could still keep you out without tiger shots just because his legs are longer than some characters' whole bodies.

It's not optimal. Sure you can try to keep them out and bait vanishes but once you get the knockdown it's better to stay in and go for mixups

Smash is a deeper game than traditional fighting games, due to the greater freedom of movement and the way you have to change what combos to use based on the weight and damage of your opponent.
The complicated button inputs of traditional fighting games only adds complexity, not depth, and are only good for bragging on the internet how skilled you are (you aren't)

Well theres also games where you have to change your combos based on how damaged your opponent is. Guilty Gear has an odd system where you take less damage the less HP you have, so doing combos that do more hits can net you more damage out of a combo. It's also got character weights
Smash does have some tricky inputs too so I have no idea where you got the idea it doesnt, just because it doesn't have quarter cicles (ignoring Ken, Ryu and Bayonetta. Unsure if more have qcf's I haven't played Ultimate much). Playing melee destroys the players hands because of the inputs required
You pretty much posted a non argument, unless your point is any casual can pickup smash and play it, which doesn't really make a good argument either as Tekken is great for casuals who can't play games as they can just button mash and enjoy it, its not until you start trying to learn tekken and play online it becomes complicated (and the same can be said for SMash)
