They shouldn't freak out if you don't fuck up the character, if you don't bring unneeded attention to it. Portal had a female protagonist, which was almost exclusively noticeable when you put portals in some angles that let the player see himself. They didn't flaunt it about, they didn't make Chel being female the center of her personality, they just made her female. And nobody gives a shit, which is the ideal response.
People respond negatively to poor implementation. I don't think it's fair to call the community immature for pushing back against in-your-face designs.

Sorry, don't have anything installed to record with. The animations are really hit or miss, considering they're community made, so it depends on the pack. I also use some of the Adult x Adult animations, even though my character is a loli and the results can be somewhat funny at times. Still works for me overall.
