Combat is garbage. Level gating system that artificially makes higher level enemies stronger and almost impenetrable is even bigger piece of garbage.
You play this game only for the story.

you are shit eater easily fooled by marketer's history revisionism. Witchre 1 is unplayable garbage. Witcher 2 is a 70% snorefest whose only "legacy" is a penny arcade strip laughing at its grotesque name and concept.
3 is walking sim with more grotesque battle system, pretendtious dialogues, fake RPG elements you'll never need to play, and the generic pinetree forests of western creative bankrupcy.
