Dofus is in a pretty good place, but last time I played Wakfu, they changed a bit too much about classes and I got sick of it.

Dofus Touch kind of sucks though, not sure why they don't update it with the PC version.

Actually that's hilarious and sad. They outright made a post clarifying it's only a really small team working for Dofus Touch and answered that most of the best updates for Dofus PC aren't even possible on the Touch client. The structure of the app is too different to the PC game so they wouldn't even know what to do to implement some things, and besides there's not enough manpower to do so.

I can't find the post, but one of the answers I can give you as an example is that Class Change Potions can't be done because the game doesn't properly register your scroll points so they'd be gone forever if you change your class or something since that sets your points back to 0 I think. That kind of stuff.
Introducing the Hero/Multimen system (I loved the Astrub Knight) and merging all professions is outright impossible, and I think they said Treasure Hunting would take them 6 months working nonstop just to adapt it - but they have to maintain the game and develop other events, so that's a no.

I tried playing Dofus Touch and holy shit it's so grindy, i have a shitload of stuff to do to come home and play for an hour to get like 2 levels on a Lvl 60 char.

There's a reason battle royale and mobas are popular, for the fast gratification from doing something. I have a friend that has a few lvl 200 characters and to get one from 199 to 200 he spent millions of in game money for some orbs that summons bosses, then killing them for about 10 hours straight with a full party from guild for that last level.

That's what the Kolosseum is/was for in Dofus. You login, sign for a fight and get a million XP after a few minutes of nice PvP. But it's kinda dead on Touch.

I had to find a nice party and level for 8 hours or more to get from level 40 to 50 yesterday. It's exceptionally slow. And once I finally got to 50, I logged for a Kolosseum fight and sat there for an hour and no one joined so I might quit.
But the 199 to 200 thing has always been the trademark of the game; getting to 200 requires the same experience you need from lvl 1 to 199.

So what the game like, i've never seen or played it before but i have played almost every mmo out there and am looking for something for a new time sink

Top down view. Mobs roam the world and you engage with them there.
Grid appears on the map and you enter a battle with them. It could be one mob, it could be 10.
In battle, it's turn based, spend points to move, and depending on your stats, attack multiple times.

First of all, the PC version needs a subscription to progress beyond the beginner area, though rich players manage to live off without spending real money by trading in-game goods for premium currency (said premium currency can be bought with money and you can also use it to subscribe).
If you're interested, go try the PC version.

And it's not like Maplestory, it's like Final Fantasy Tactics or Fire Emblem. But actually it's more like Fallout 1 and 2. There's a grid, you have 6 Action Points and 3 Movement Points. Your spells cost actions and moving in the grid costs MP. Every class has 21 different spells so it gets pretty varied and of course you can get more AP/MP and stats through equipment.
The boss fights and even regular fights can get pretty rewarding since everyone tries to do challenges; every fight has a random challenge like Not using spells or having to focus on enemy first before attacking another one.
Fights can have 8 players against 8 monsters not including summons, and the actual content is very varied. There's dungeons, dozens of areas for each level bracket, Kolosseum (3 vs 3 PvP with matchmaking), quest lines, and treasure hunts which are another kind of quest but it gets fun. Also every monster has a variant named Arch Monster and after a certain dungeon you can catch Monster souls and sell them for profit to people who need to catch all Arch Monsters for a quest.
Really I can't write all it has, content isn't a trouble Dofus has. If you like it you'll love it, But play the PC version, it's not grindy.

I didn't grind once while playing and I'm literally above max level. Grinding is a choice you decided to make. Quests, PVP and achievements are the best ways to exp.

You don't need to be rich to pay your sub in in-game money. It's hilariously cheap. 4 pvp duels or selling a handful of resources are enough for me to pay my sub.

They had a web browser soccer Dofus game back in 2009 I think. It was stupidly fun but they shut it down.

I forgot the most important part. It can get REALLY tactical, so don't think it comes down to buffing yourself and hitting really hard while a tank eats damage.
Positioning and map manipulation are a MUST so the fights get really dynamic and for the endgame the bosses require really specific things to be defeated, like healing a teammate while being 3 cells away from them for example WHILE being lined up with one of his summons. I just made that up, actual requirements are more complex than that.

Really? I stopped playing on 2012 but I had saved up to 3 million kamas. I might return and see if I can do that in my server.

Pretty sure the Ilyzaelle ogrine market is separate, ogrines are worthless since everyone plays only one account and kamas are worth much more than on the dead multiaccount servers being broken economically by autists playing 8 characters and paying for all their subs in ogrines.

Sell all you own on your dead server, buy ogrines with the kamas, buy a sub with the ogrines, start over fresh on ily where there are actual people playing a mmo.

Balancing is being made soon but I'd say elio is the safest bet to still be OP after it. They're the most OP class but nobody complains about it because it's not as flashy as what ecas or osas do and they're less played.

They nuked crafting costs in Krosmaga mid- last year making the game far more playable. Some friends convinced me to pick it up a few months ago and I was able to put together a decent deck after a couple weeks of dailies.

Panda, enu are the designated "you're so busy supporting you never get to actually do damage" classes. Pretty much their entire kits are designed to be amazing supports, though pandas don't heal much and enus heal less than more dedicated healers.
Eni if you're a healslut. Masq if you're a schizo who likes shields.
Foggers/Elios/Fire osas can also heal decently.

Enis are quite good at buffing/debuffing on top of their healing. Though enus excel at removing mp from enemies which is very often useful and not done well by enis.

Enu is exellent for extra drops. Playstyle is weird and it is probably the most revamped classed in all of Wakfu, because Ankama can't get their shit together. If you played Lineage 2 it's basically Spoiler.

Getting completely reworked next patch to have their summons be more valuable and less spammable. Air is for mobility with tofus, earth for tanking with gobbals, water for big melee damage with ugly toads, fire for healing and supporting with dragons; in short.

It didn't eliminate all cooperation between players and make everything into an instance like other MMOs which pretty much became single player experiences. The gear customization system is also excellent.

I know nobody liked Fecas in PvP and last time I checked Phaeris rankings it was mostly support classes. That was years ago, but server is dead and it's possible that little has changed. Remi looks different though.

That works but if you do that you're pretty much just doing that during that turn since your team will never cooperate and be in range of your dial. Most of the time you're better off doing damage or placing things.
Taking the dial means you can't take the variant of it, which is extremely useful.
