Was KiD an attempt at Suda trying to make something in the vein of his earlier games after Shadows and Lollipop Chainsaw? It always seemed kind of weird and probably not in the sense Suda intended even though I still had plenty of fun with it.

DMC5 is better than Killer is Dead for one reason and one reason alone. Mondo's hair doesn't slick back whenever he adjusts it and it always fucking bothered me every time he did it

KiD isn't a Suda game though. He wrote the first draft and even that was heavily edited and he didn't direct it. Mondo was originally a married family man executioner and then Kadokowa made him more bond esque and added those giggolo missions
