Garleans are well written and interesting. Same with Elezen. Midlander Hyur would have been okay due to the allagan empire if they didn't overdo it as they did and just have them as an excuse. The expansion should have ended with us getting our shit kicked in and getting gassed with massive casualties. I don't like how the "Shadowbringers" part is just pushing back some light in another world that isn't our own, instead of correcting a balance in our own that has been tilted to one side with all our recent victories. Imagine us not actually being able to defeat the Empire, not because we can't do so or that we don't want to, but that they are a necessary evil we need to keep the balance. Imagine the WoL having to swallow the atrocities they have committed and allow them to keep happening, perhaps even working with the empire, because it is for the greater good of the world. We have to be the balance to make sure that good and evil don't ever outdo each other, even if it makes us having to play for both sides.

The empire has to stay pretty status quo unless there is a massive revision to 2.0 content because of Northern Thanalan just flat out does not function as a zone if they are not at war. I don't know about 1.0 but ARR was definitely made with the initial intention of the empire being persistent background/secondary enemies all along but then they fucked up and made Stormblood and shit's all fucked up.

Hrothgar would have gotten some flak in the long run but definitely introducing them as an existing race in the game before Fanfest would have extremely soften the blow in the long run. The only other solution they could have chosen was splitting Viera and Hrothgar between 6.0 and 7.0.

That way you can still cast it on the bard for their opener/your person of choice if you have a moment but you just slap the button while hitting the boss to auto cast it on who will likely be the other melee dps due to dragoons positioning.

Linked is a cut piece of a GamerEscape podcast called "Aetheryte Radio" which features an interview with Mr. Happy in which he brags that Square Enix and specifically Yoshi-P thanked him for his help in discrediting the BluFever leaks. Sources close to this program who provided me with this clip from the cutting-room floor edit went on to say that Mr. Happy claims that he is being paid/groomed by SE to an official mouthpiece for the game, and an official presence to cast doubt on any leaks. Apparently the BluFever leaks did a lot of internal damage and this is their form of damage control. They have a legitimate leak problem and are reaching out to content creators/streamers as an active measure to cast doubt on/discredit leaks that are factually accurate.

For further proof, Mr. Happy was the only Non-JP Content Creator personally invited and sent by Square-Enix to the Tokyo Fanfest to do an interview. The rest were handled by Famitsu, Dengeki, and other domestic Japanese media outlets. Been DRK since their release. PLD isn't the shield slinger like i wanted it to be, and WAR became infested with some unlikable players.

That works fine for quests but not for the overworld itself. There's a fucking reason there's no Garlean soldiers actually on the map in Ala Mhigo or Doma.

It doesn't exactly tie in to the story, it just gives it a lot of context not covered in the MSQ.
This might change in Shadowbringers since DRK is the flagship job, but probably not.
